“Advertised as a boutique hotel with continental breakfast available - it’s NOT in our experience. No breakfast available. Beverages only available in reception area and consist of tea bags and instant coffee, with water from a thermos flask! Decor is tired, carpets stained, windows can’t be opened, air con not working ( control not fixed properly to the wall), light switch in upper hall of the coach house not working, resulting in light needing to be left on all night. Rooms in coach house……

“The smell of chlorine from the pool pervades the place, there is rarely staff at the desk, breakfast is a joke. The room is clean, the beds comfortable, good linens and towels. The children bouncing off the walls late into the night is a deal breaker. Very loud door slamming, ample parking, good freeway access, anything you want ( fast food, drug store, grocery, etc) all close. ”

“We booked this by mistake. We thought we were at Hyatt Place in downtown Royal Oak. It was very late at night. We were told that we were at Hyatt House two miles north! Had to call our relative to come back and collect us and take us to Hyatt House. The lobby is lovely, staff are superb, breakfast was excellent. But the rooms are of “brutal architecture”. Grey, chunky, wide spaces to accommodate wheelchairs. Not cozy and inviting. Lighting is fluorescent and cold. Yuck. Not……
