Overall, the stay was sufficient. Both the beach and pool were clean. Unit could use some updating.
Hotels.com has check out at 11am, while Vacasa has 10am. Housekeeping started knocking at 9:30am wanting to know when we were leaving. They actually came back 15 minutes later at 9:45 to ask the same thing. That was a little unnerving.
The beach was great!! The unit had roaches and was very dated. Several items including the fridge need to be replaced. Also on 3rd floor and no elevator which would be fine but it is hard to take all the beach stuff out. I was thankful only stayed 2 nights!!
Place was inaccurately advertised as sleeping for 4 adults with a queen bed and rollout sofa. The sofa bed was totally worn out, badly stained and unacceptable. When opened out the thin worn mattress pad didn’t give any protection from the springs. The ‘sofa’, being a love seat was too short to sleep on. Besides the cushions where so worn it was extremely comfortable to sit on let alone sleep on. Also the cushions were stained in a disgusting manner. As a result, my 28 year old son had to sleep on the kiddy ‘self bed’ which was barely wide enough for his shoulders. Had we known more than 2 adults couldn’t sleep here, we would have stayed somewhere else.
The smoke detector didn’t seem to work. On both mornings cooking bacon created a lot of smoke, which didn’t go anywhere due to poor ventilation. But the smoke detector never came on. I thought a working smoke alarm was required by fire code.
Not enough outlets in the kitchen. To plug the coffee pot in, I had to put the stove out to get to an outlet.
Kitchen faucet - cold water came on pushing the handle towards you or away. To turn off, had to find the sweet spot until it stopped.
All bathroom faucets are clear plastic and contained excessive dark mold. Facets need to be removed soaked in a cleaner or replaced.
Shower is in need of repair-makes a load high pitched noise that occur throughout your shower.
Glasses and silverware all dirty, had to be washed by us.
It was disgusting.
