We stayed here for a week with my parents the last week in August. Prior to getting there I reached out to Dan with a few questions we had. He was always very prompt in replying within the same day. As another reviewer mentioned GPS will take you to Waukegan. It is actually Wagon Wheel. Not a street sign but a larger white sign. Once you turn here you go straight to the end to reach the cabin. The cabin is right on the water with a great view of the lake. You have a small beach area and you share the dock with the people next store. We sat out there several hours and it is just beautiful. Neighbors are close on both sides and are very friendly. The cabin is very cute and was very clean. The main room which consists of the family room area, kitchen and dinning room table is an open large area and plenty of room for 4 people. We bring our own food supplies, dishes, pots and pans etc so we really appreciated the long counter space. The fridge is huge as well. The two bedrooms and the bathroom were smaller than we expected. Both rooms barely have space for a suitcase. It was 91 degrees when we arrived and had trouble getting the windows to open to use the fans we brought. We honestly were afraid to touch the windows for fear of breaking them. The window panes were impossible to open and the blinds were challenging as well. I'm not sure if this was an oversight but the beds in the bunk bedroom did not have any sheets on them. It was a fitted sheet and a comforter. The comforter was too hot the first two nights we were there. There is a very nice grill on the nice deck which we used every night. We had perfect weather after those first two days and we spent the whole day either on the water or on the dock. Beautiful location and great for sunrises!!
