Great venue for cozy get together with family and friends
We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving celebration with family and friends Get Away to Your Mountain Paradise. The property was very spacious for the ten of us with five sleeping spaces and six double beds. The kids especially liked the loft. My wife and I took the downstairs room - convenient to a walking area for our two pups. Two bedrooms on the main level worked great for our son and his two children and our friends took the entire third floor with their daughter and her two young children. The property is situated on 4 acres, so definitely had that feeling of being out in the woods that we were looking for. Roads are paved to within maybe 1/2 a mile from the home and are good for walking. During one of our walks, we found a trail through the woods that starts from the cul-de-sac that ends at the top of the main road. There are two beautiful fireplaces, but they don’t allow open flames at this property. But electric fireplaces give the same ambience. The hot tub was soothing, even on the cool nights of Thanksgiving week. Finally, the rustic furniture and cabin-style bedding were especially welcoming come bedtime. We’ll definitely be staying here again in the future. We’d like to see what it looks like in late Spring or early summer. The hosts were very responsive on several occasions when I had minor questions.

Good stay but hot tub unusable.
Everything is good except the hot tub which was my main reason for selecting this spot. The hot tub had white mold all around the vents so we couldn’t sit inside and enjoy it. The grill also wasn’t cleaned. It had leftover food, melted cheese, etc on it. Besides that the stay was fine. Only stayed with there with 6 people total and plenty of space as advertised.

Mountain adventure
The house is lovely. There are some quirks. It is a LOUD house (noise travels very easily from room to room and floor to floor due to the design of the flooring.) If you have people who stay up late or get up early, the rest of the people are going to hear them. The pot and pan selection is kind of scant (not anything unusual for a rental) and the knives could use a good sharpening. There are plenty of dishes and glasses. The deck is great with lots of furniture. The hot tub was nice but we had to reset the breaker several times to make the touch pad work. The management company was VERY responsive. The road up to the home is kind of steep and made some people in our party a bit uncomfortable, but it was well maintained and an adventure! All in all, it is a lovely place to stay.

Great for bigger families and pets!
The property was just as advertised. It was clean, the beds were comfy, it was close to town, and more. My family (7 adults and 1 baby) and I (plus 3 small dogs) all stayed for a week at this property. There were enough beds/ rooms for everyone to have their own. The place was big enough that we never felt like we were on top of each other and had our own space. The kitchen was great, we cooked most nights. I brought dog gates so that the dogs could be kept in/ out of certain areas but still be apart of the family. The porch was nice and relaxing in the mornings while drinking coffee. The hot tub was a nice bonus in the evenings. Over all this is one of the best places the family has stayed. There were only a few minor things that would have made it better. One of the stove burners wasn’t quite working normal, the pilot light on the grill didn’t work, and the hot tub control panel froze at one point. We were able to use the grill anyway and the hot tub panel was an easy fix. The drive up to the property is a little steep. I would have been nervous driving up the narrow road in the dark or snow. Over all my family and I had a great trip. We would stay again.

We had a great time during our stay here. The hot tub is amazing. Rooms were spacious. The communication with the property manager was spot on. Only thing that could be improved is to have coffee available. First morning we could not find coffee so has to run to get one. Small thing but thought it would have been awesome.

Fantastic Thanksgiving getaway!
This place is spotless - and I do mean SPOTLESS. The kitchen was well-stocked enough that with the addition of a few disposable pans, we were able to cook an entire Thanksgiving meal with no trouble. There's an entire supply closet filled with extra towels, cleaning supples, dish liquid, and even laundry detergent. The area is completely quiet and there are plenty of gravel roads to walk. The town is only a 20-minute drive, and it's through very pretty country. The only (very minor) notes were that the beds seemed a bit smaller than the advertised queens. Our group included three couples and all agreed it was a tight fit. Also, if you're staying here when the trees are bare, just know that the entire east-facing side of the house is made up of massive picture windows with no shades, so the sun comes in very intensely in those first few hours (and whoever's in the loft won't be sleeping in). If you're staying here in the summer when the trees are full, I doubt this would be a problem. If you're an earlier riser, that sunrise can't be beat. Overall, this was one of the nicest properties we've ever stayed at and we would absolutely book it again - except we'd stay longer. We'd give it more stars if we could.

Very pretty mountain lodge
This was a great place to stay. The location was tucked away in a mountain and very quiet. Great to go with friends. Everything was very clean and we appreciated not having to bring towels or sheets. My only concern was that two of the queen beds were unusually far off the ground making me nervous that one of us would roll off at night and get hurt (my toddler or our friends older mother). The property managers were extremely responsive by phone pretty much anytime. Our dogs loved it too.

Beautiful Mountai Getaway
Me and 8 friends rented this house to get away from our familiar homes and spend time in a beautiful setting. This house did not disappoint! Everything went smoothly from the start. The management team made check-in easy and communicated clearly about the reservation leading up to our stay. When we got there, the space location was perfect, tucked atop a small mountain. The owners provided everything we needed to stay there over the long weekend. I chose one of the smaller beds in the lift area and got to wake up to beautiful sunrises every morning. During our trip we visited a nearby farmers market and antique market, went on a 5-mile hike, a winery, and spent time cooking and playing board games. At night we star-gazed from the expansive balcony while having hot chocolate, tea, or totties! We had two dogs with us and there was more than enough space for them. I agree with a prior comment about the quality of the WiFi. There were at least 8 devices on it at any given time and we always had a strong connection. While we had an amazing experience, I would note that the basement level gets quite cold in the winter. The heater there didn't do much to help, but we used extra blankets that we brought. I'll also note that the fireplaces in the house are not functional and outdoor fires are prohibited. That was a bit of a downer as we wanted to make smores at one point and didn't really have the option. Again, we had such an amazing stay! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone interested!

Clean, well appointed and quiet.
We spent one week here for our family vacation. We had 11 people age 18-81. The house was extremely clean, the kitchen was well stocked with the exception of a potato peeler. It literally had everything we needed. The house was stocked with linens, toilet paper, dish and clothing detergent, soaps and shampoo. It had so many things that I brought with me because many places are not well appointed, THIS ONE IS!!!! The house is spacious, the WIFI was great, one family member worked from the house all week on line and had no issues at all. The rest of us were streaming things to our phones/laptops with no issues. Check in was easy, the communication with the company that handles the rental was quick and seamless. The location is great if you want to just be at the house. It is in a remote area. Do your research as we did before we got there so there were no surprises that the town of Harrisonburg is about a 25 minute ride. Nothing is close but we knew that going in. We did a lot of hiking. It is a beautiful area and I highly recommend seeing this part of the US. It was a great vacation. One negative thing was that sitting outside sometimes if the breeze was right you could get a whiff of the septic which was not pleasant. We have stayed in a lot of places and this by far was the best and most true to its advertising.
