Looking for a cheap hotel on the road!

Pros: Only hot coffee. The little orange drink was stale and nasty. The cleaning lady did a good job when I asked her clean up for me.
Cons: Service! New hotel needs better management and care. Hire at least one more cleaning staff to help.
First was the old man receptionist. He was unpleasant to deal with and acted as though he did not give a rats rear. I should have taken that as queue and left. Then I went to my room and found hair in the bathroom, the little refrigerator was nasty and even the newly painted walls needed cleaning. But to make matters worst, it was a non smoking room and the bed had the sheets and the blanket and spread with so much cigarette burns, you wonder if they were are a shooting range. So we got those changed. The TV does not swivel, and I could not use the HDMI to watch my own movies or to do my work. And they did not have MSNBC. The carpet, could do with a cleaning. I did not have my house slipper so the socks did it. Continental breakfast was a joke but the coffee was super hot and I liked that. The place is fairly new, but it is not well maintained for such a new place and with only one cleaning attendant, you can see why the rooms don't get cleaned properly. To add insult to injury, on my check out day, I was trying to rush and the phone kept ringing I answered and it was the automated call thanking me basically the checkout call. I finally unhooked the thing and got into the shower , no sooner than that the old man came knocking at my door, gruffly saying "It is check out time"! I said if you would give me a chance I would have left already. I would never look at one of those ever again.

Clean and well kept

Pros: Pool and clenliness
If you have to stay in this area this hotel is a must. clean hotel & friendly staff. stayed here last October and again this June because of the pool and locol bars and restaurants.

Very Impressed - Especially for the Price

We were pleasantly surprised by the size and cleanliness of the room. The continental breakfast was a little disappointing. But overall, the hotel was a great value.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying on the west side of Houston.
