Great place to stay

Posted Jun 7, 2013
Pros: Small and friendly. Had character, but modern facilities. Roof terrace. The owners made us feel very welcome.
Cons: None
Location: It is in a good location. 10-15 minutes’ walk to the main public transport system. Good for shops and restaurants.
We stayed here for 5 nights and we were made to feel very welcome. The building still has character, but is very comfortable and the modern bathroom was great. Our room (the one with the small balcony) looked exactly like the picture on the internet. Having a roof terrace was part of why I picked this hotel and it was good, but there are a lot of steps up to it and wouldn’t be good if you have mobility problems. Breakfast had a good selection of food, which differed slightly every day, but remember it is a small boutique style hotel not a large international one. We found this to be very social and was an opportunity to chat to the other guests and the owners if you wanted to. It didn’t start until 8.30am, which isn’t ideal if you are there on business and have early starts. However I’m sure, had I asked, the owners would have made arrangements for me. I didn’t find it a problem; you have tea and coffee in the room and there were lots of small shops selling breakfast pastries. It is in a good location. 10-15 minutes’ walk and you can join up with the public transport system, which is excellent, clean and cheap (you could just about walk to the Sultanahmet region, but it is easier to get a Tram). We found it easy to buy a token for each trip (3 Turkish lira; just over £1). The owners arranged transport from the airport for us and it was worth it, especially if it is your first trip. Had I been alone, I would have felt safe here and would be happy to recommend it to anyone.

Great Location, Great Staff, Highly Recommended!

Posted May 29, 2012
Pros: The quality of the room and service was excellent, and the price was perfect.
Cons: The hotel was very difficult to find, despite my familiarity with Istanbul. There is no sign!
Location: Great location near Taksim at the end of Balik Pasaji. Despite the excessive nightlife located around the hotel, the rooms are delightfully quiet.
I had a wonderful stay at the Dila Suites in May of 2012. I stayed with my girlfriend for two nights in a Balcony Suite room. The hotel is well furnished and extremely nice, especially for the room rates! The location is also excellent-- right at the end of Balik Pasaji. Despite the location, the rooms are exceptionally quiet. Additionally, the hotel staff are excellent and went well out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a nice addition. My only criticism is that the location is hard to find, especially if you aren't familiar with Istanbul. Currently they do not have a sign, so I walked past the hotel three or four times and couldn't find the place. Make sure to write down the phone number before you go! Overall, highly recommended hotel for travelers on all budgets!

Loved it! Great room & great location!

An excellent spot, we were able to walk everywhere. Shopping nearby - both designer stores and the local street vendors. A vibrant, busy & bustling part of town. We walked across Galata Bridge to the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque etc the walk takes less than an hour one-way. The service at the suites was very good, the room clean & tastefully decorated, we were catered for very well. Not your big hotel environment - personal and friendly - which is exactly what we were looking for. Our next hotel was a 5-star and was substandard by comparison so keep up the good work Dila Suties! Highly recommend!

prima gelegen Nähe Taksim mit vielen Geschäften

Posted Apr 12, 2015

Gemütliches Pension in Seitenstraße

Posted Apr 28, 2014

Posted Mar 20, 2013 on Hotels
