"This place was perfect for a vacation including our two pre-teen grandchildren. They loved the swimming pools on the property. We all enjoyed walking to the beach and to the great restaurants nearby. All within 15-20 minutes. We found great snorkeling just North of Black Rock, another 10-15 minute walk from the cabana. There was plenty of room for all six of us, four adults and two kids. The kitchen was great for making breakfasts and snacks."

"We throughly enjoyed our stay in this 2 bedroom condo in the Honua Kai resort. We have previously rented many condos but none were as clean at this one was upon our arrival. Communication with the host, Fereshteh was excellent. We had one small issue that was resolved quickly. Some of the small details included: shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in each shower; dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, garbage bags,use of 4 beach chairs, beach umbrella, pool noodles and cooler. "We had a wonderful time here in Maui. The place was a little dated but worth it for the view. It was nice to wake up every morning and see the ocean. We would stay here again. The only negative would be that the cleaning supplies they used to clean the unit was very strong. Took a bit to air it out."

The room/unit itself was ok - size was good, and it had a well-stocked kitchen. The unit overall could use a refresh, furniture was worn down, large hole in the couch (as mentioned in other reviews), and overall just seems a little old/rundown.
