“Think of it as luxury camping and you'll be happy. If your idea of comfort is umbrella drinks by the pool, you will not. Personally, I loved it. But it's not for everyone. This is a rustic cabin in the jungle. 4.5 miles off the main road, 2.2 miles of it is dirt (well maintained, regular cars not a problem). 15 minute drive to nearest civilization (the part of the description being in the middle of a historic town is inaccurate - it's 7 miles outside a historic town). “オーナーのGlenさんが親切でした。迷わないよう入り口の写真を送ってくれたり、メッセージを送ってくれました。 こちらでの滞在は私にとっては新鮮でした。 ソーラーによる電気、飲料水と雨水との使い分け。雨水のシャワーだけど、ちゃんと熱いお湯も出ました！トイレ、シャワーは部屋の中ではなく戸外でした。 キッチンはラナイにありました。 必要なものはちゃんと揃ってました。 自給自足に近い滞在の経験はなかなかできないので驚きもありました。 夜になるとコキガエルの大合唱。 トイレやシャワーでコキガエルに会いました。 真夜中にソーラー充電が切れたようで、完全に闇に！漆黒の夜って、こうなんだとあらためて認識。 なかなか出来ない経験ができて面白かったです。”

“This place was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! We loved our very short stay so much. In fact, if we had to plan our big island trip all over again, we would have extended our stay at this beautiful gem tucked away in the jungle. How cool to be able to go from the front porch on a walk through steam vents, with information along the way about local flowers and plants. This place just feels well loved, and we were so thankful we were able to stay there. Thanks, Jacklynn!!! We hope to see you again...

“The cottage was very clean and full of household items ready for use. It's a good thing i wake up around 5am because there's a Brahma (seemed like it) rooster next door that helps with the wake up process, hehehe. No need to set your alarm on your phone. The place was breezy once I opened all the windows. Truly a Hawaii experience. Thank you host!”

“We arrived in Hawaii only to find our booking had gone out of business and forgot to remove their VRBO ad. But we found Paradise Palms available at the last minute. Sharon and Steve worked with us and VRBO to help us straighten everything out. And we spent 3 days in the area and it was beautiful. Every day was a new adventure. ”

“This is an out-of-the-way gem (but easy to get to). Clean, and close to shore to hear waves crashing. Host was superb! Unit was smaller than expectation. Hard to use luggage rack and move around. Not so certainly about "see whales and dolphins" - but maybe it was wrong time of year. Checking and communication with host was great (5/5)!”

“A really cool place. Sharon and Stephen were wonderful hosts (this is a small ‘condo’ downstairs on their property). Very comfortable, parking is doorside w a private entrance. Beautifully landscaped yard. Kitchen is well stocked w/ utensils and basic seasonings/condiments for cooking. Walk-in shower and adjacent outdoor shower. Seaview is definitely off the beaten path—20 min drive to town down a road w/ incredible scenery. My favorite was listening to the sounds of the jungle at night...

“We recently stayed at this property for several days and had a really nice experience. The check-in process was smooth for the most part, and the directions provided were clear. However, we were initially given the wrong gate code, which caused a bit of confusion. Thankfully, I was able to locate the correct code in the Vrbo listing and get us in without too much trouble.Once inside the property, we did have a little difficulty finding the actual unit. “The room is beautiful, the kitchen is big, the couch is comfortable, the bed was a little too firm for my old body but otherwise was great. The host was super nice, and answered promptly to all my questions. NOTE: if you need supplies get them from Hilo or get them before 5pm 'cause everything is closed early!!!”

“A previous booking elsewhere cancelled at last minute due to changes in Hawaiian law re holiday homes in cettain areas. Needed an early morning strst to get to get to volcano - only 20mins away.This accomm served the purpose. Note it is basic.”

“Lemon Tree Lanai is an excellent place for vacationers who want a real Hawai'i rain forest experience without a lot of hype and "club-med" type extras. It's a bit rustic, but clean, with beautiful flowery grounds. comfortable and convenient. The lucky geckos are a plus, visiting every evening to take care of any bugs on the lanai that might have slipped in the screen.
