Located in Kefalonia, this villa is near the beach. Monastery of Agios Andreas and Castle of Agios Georgios are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Svoronata Marina and Port of Argostoli.
This was beautiful Villa to stay in.Mary, the owner, kept in contact with us before we left, and answered any questions I threw at her. On arriving we were welcomed with a bottle of wine. It was extremely hot on the island, but the air conditioning in the villa was great. Kitchen is extremely good and lots of cooking was done. There's a good taverna in the village, and a mini market, only 100 yards up the road. The villa has a ground floor twin bedroom and 2 double rooms upstairs, which have an excellent balcony with lovely views. The villa ideally suite 6 but can take 7 with an extra put up bed out in one of the rooms. We were a family of 7 and stayed for 2 weeks in August . We visited many beaches on the island but by far our most favourite was Agios Thomas Beach, only a mile down the road. it's where many locals go and is not commercial and we liked this. There's a sandy beach, as well as a rocky one. We spent hours down here.Great for snorkelling and also jumping and diving off rocks. The hotel is on the way to beach and we went there a few times to use the swimming pool. The villa is extremely well located on the southern part of the island. Only a 25 minutes drive from the airport, and many great beaches withing 30 minutes drive of the villa, although, as I have said , our favourite was the local beach. There are also a plethora of really good restaurants withing 4 miles of the villa, particularly the ones near the castle which is only 3 miles away. A great holiday enjoyed by children, parents and grandparents.
