Too short a weekend

Place was very clean and spacious. Most of all the bed slept great with soft sheets and towels. You can sit on the screened porch and watch the wildlife in the lagoon. I would recommend staying there

Great condo by the beach

Everything was pretty much exactly like the listing showed. It was exactly what we needed and we had a very nice time staying so close to the beach! Walk to the beach and to Nest/Night Heron Park was even closer than expected. Thank you for a great trip!

Great location - Unit needs an upgrade

The location is perfect, short walk (2-3 minutes) from the beach and Night Heron park. Unit was clean but is really dated (they have a tape deck and VHS video player!). Furnishings and kitchen from the 80s. This is my second experience with the property managers VACASA and I will look to avoid them in the future. The communication between their HQ and local agents is poor and you feel like they’re doing you a favor for even the simplest of requests.

Great rental

Easy access to beach and nature center. Also a store and restaurant within easy walking distance. Quiet and great lagoon views. No laundry soap but some was delivered quickly after I called.

This apartment was simple and comfortable. We wanted to be in a place we could relax and easily get to the beach. Walking distance from the beach, easy drive to shopping. Would stay here again.

Easy stroll to beach + right on bike path

Perfect for me and my husband to get away to the beach for the weekend. Easy walk to beach and there is a bathroom at the beginning of the boardwalk so super convenient. We took our own bikes and enjoyed riding on the paths and we even rode over to Sea Brook. Condo is basic, not fancy which was fine as we spent most of our time outdoors. We cooked dinner 3 nights and found the cookware to be sufficient. There are large pots to boil seafood and pasta. No condiments: take salt, oil, and coffee filters!

Great location

Hats off to the Cleaning Crew! This condo was spotless. Positives for this condo: Clean, A/C was nice and cool, water for showers hot, walls recently painted and best of all only 2 minute walk to the beach! That having been said, the condo could use some updating. I would venture to guess to the tub fixtures, bath vanity and kitchen counters are original from 1980..making them over 40 years old. The carpet could be updated as well. But all in all--comfortable and clean and close to the beach.

Great location

The location was perfect for us. Easy access to beach, market and The Sanctuary. Only downside is the unit is outdated. Because of this, it seems a bit dirty. A simple bathroom upgrade of the tile and fixtures and kitchen cabinets would make the place so much more charming.

Kiawah for non golfers nothing but beach

House adequate but some things easily fixed like cooking utensils —not enough. Could use tongs and pizza cutter and better knives Porch furniture old and needs cleaning there was a lot of lizard poop and spider webs maybe due to holes in screens Tv limited no hbo Netflix or prime We watched peacock and found a few good movies Remote needs batteries double A There was s radio but got only static Bedroom nice big bed and nice dressers with lots of storage Nice new washer dryer used it often Dishwasher too noisy to use while watchin TvNice bedroom but polyester bedsheets not great for hot weather House is cute and good layout for two people. We are not a couple so we took turns as sleeping on the sofa Bathroom ok but hole in wall near tub and shower head can’t be adjusted for hair washing Nice towels and pretty shower curtain No beach towels Enjoyed the screened porch Grounds beautifully maintained Lots of ibises herons and very tame deer Lack of Instructions on things like what to do in region or where to shop and eat or even How to find beach paths .We tried to recycle but had to leave bags of plastic bottles for cleaners because no info No beach chairs or umbrella so we had to purchase in Charleston Because rental place was out of them We left our brand New chairs by the dumpster Hope someone was able to use Often resort area rentals have a designated place For that where you can leave good stuff that you can’t take home on the plane In general Kiawah doesn’t have a lot to do other than beach particularly when rainy We wanted to explore the beautiful island but there didn’t seem to be public access to MuchOn one map there was supposed to be a marsh park with a viewing tower but when we tried to get there the only access would have been through Private driveways and no place to park A boat trip to see dolphins was an advertised option but for two people it would cost nearly $400 the minimum For the trip which takes less than two hours The boat holds six but they won’t put a group together for you As we drove back to the airport we passed signs Outside the resort for nature tours but by then it was too late Staying on the Island for a week felt too long but beach is beautiful And perfect for little kids Surf too tame for teens or adults To be interesting Also think if we had rented oceanfront we would have been much happier And if we come back that’s what we will do
