Very strange place!

My Wife asked for her steak to be well done but was rudely told 'chef won't like that' so she asked for venison and was told 'that would be pink too' Eventually the chef agreed to do a well done steak but when it arrived it was nothing but charcoal. I think he was making a point. To be honest my food was ok perhaps because I didn't ask the chef to do something he disagreed with. The bed in room 3 was so uncomfortable neither of us slept at all. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. The place is really a glorified B&B with added chintz and a chef who seems to be a bit up himself Would we go back? Absolutely not!

wedding stay at Waterdine

The rooms were lovely with a very comfy bed! lots of lovely touches in the room which included homemade biscuits and a sherry! Breakfast was fab with lots of choice including smoked salmon! Owners were lovely too

Fabulous food

Spotless room with all amenities. The owners used to run a Michelin star restaurant, so breakfast is fabulous and the evening meal to die for! On-site licensed bar to boot. Note: free WiFi but no mobile phone signal available.

A great fine for a lovely weekend away

This B&B attached to a lovely restaurant in a very lovely, peaceful and tranquil area. You can unwind in the garden with a complimentary pot of tea on arrival and enjoy the hill side views and tame valley. The food is amazing and chef Ken serves a variety of cuisine that would be hard to beat in a star restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble and Isobel is a great hostess. The stay made a lovely weekend away from the children even better and I would highly recommend either a meal or stay there.

A lovely home from home

This is a really comfy, snug, cosy B&B with lovely hosts and a fantastic breakfast. I could even birdwatch while having breakfast - saw a sparrowhawk about 10 feet away.

Very disappointed, no wifi as advertised, no phone signal. Optional food poisoning.
