We rented the property for 3 nights. The good things - the pool, hot tub, and location is great and we were happily surprised at how well set up everything was - pool toys, nice hot tub, and great amount of seating. The bad things - there are confederate flag decorations throughout the building. Being from the south we are fairly used to seeing this but it is offensive and just not appropriate in this day. On our last full day in the house the plumbing backed up - water filled the toilets, showers, and sinks. We were not able to use any water. I called the 1800 number four times from 9:30pm to 4:30pm and the people at this number were lovely to speak to - they told me that someone in the local office would call me right away to take care of the problem. I recieved NO contact from the local management. A plumber did show up at 1:00 and said he couldn't fix the issue and that Roto Rooter would need to be called. Again, phone call from the local office. At 3:45 and again 4:30 I called the 1800 number to explain that we could not stay in a home without running water and functioning toilets. They insisted that we would be contacted (again) by the local management office. At 4:45 pm we decided to leave the property to go home (a 5 hour drive) since we thought it would be better than trying to camp in the house ovenight. I called the 1800 number again, and Holly was veyr nice and profusely apologetic about our situation. She said she would refund us the last night of our stay. Finally, we received a call from Diana (or Dianne) at the local office - she was rude and abrupt. At no time did she apologize or sympathize with our situation. She basically said "well, OK!" when I told her we left the home. If they had just called me and told me what the plan was, when a plumber was coming, what would happen if the plumber couldn't fix the situation (get us a hotel, move us to another home?) we probably would have stayed but without knowing what was going on we decided that heading home was our best option. I understand that the plumbing issue was no one's fault - these things happen - but if you are told someone is going to call you (not once, but several times) then someone should call you! I really hope that the owner of this property considers changing management groups - this was a very disappointing experience.
