Cheap and cheerful

Second time we've stayed. Nothing really wrong with the place and we'd stay again, but it's let down by the details: nowhere to put your shower gel when showering, the showers seem to be designed to flood the bathroom, the beds lack headboards so it's uncomfortable to sit up in bed (although the beds themselves are fine), and the location means it can be noisy if the window is open. But basically you're staying in rooms above a bistro with prices to match, so it's hard to grumble too much. The staff have always been quick to sort out any niggles we've had and if you get the right room, the views are fantastic. There's no parking, but we've always managed to find space in the area just off the Rue Louis Curet, so don't let that put you off.
