The best gun range in the region is actually free and only a mile up the road at a public location!

Your getaway in Mongo, IN the middle of “Pigeon River Fish and Wildlife Area” an area off grid dedicated to providing some of the best wildlife on 11,794 acres of land, 529 acres of lakes and 17 miles free flowing river. The cabin was built from 120 red and scot pine trees in 1995 on 82 acres of privately owned land. The floor was milled into tongue and groove from a pin oak dragged out of the woods by a 1965 4 wheel drive bronco. No running water, no electricity, just you and the wildlife. We hope you will have a very enjoyable stay. The details below will help you make the most of your stay.

Ok
No air circulation in the cabin. Sweated like crazy. It is a hunter’s cabin. Great for a group of guys who are hunting in the area.

Very unique rustic property!
I had such a great time at this cabin. We went with a small group of friends to unplug & unwind for the weekend. There are trails for hiking, a nice campfire, and a beautiful wood stove to keep you warm inside. The property manager was friendly and easy to contact. 10/10, would recommend!

Perfect for our group. One room cabin with a loft in the woods. No electric or water. Wood stove & outhouse. Great opportunity for Charlie & I to once again prove that we are dominant euchre champions!
