No best value

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: The sheets were clean
Cons: Everything needed improvement. Overpriced for the facility.
Location: Great location
Carpet worn and dirty as you open door. Cigarette burns in bedspread. Air conditioning unit did not turn off. Will not stay there again. Breakfast served was a joke.

Dirty outdated filthy room

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: The only plus about this hotel stay was it was close to the restaurants so my husband could go to the bathroom .
Cons: Clean up the dirt! If handicap ...then be handicap accusable. Do not have throw up on mattress. If staying for additional nights they give clean sheet
Location: Located on the main drag and lost of things to do close by.
asked for handicap room ...haha..husbands scooter would nit fit into bathroom. The sheets had burn holes in them. They did not give us clean sheets the second day. There was throw up on the box springs. Gap under the door was at least a half inch or wider. Door lock was gone .The only way to lock door was to use the dead bolt. They send me letter saying they are remolding . If so This room should of been put out of service till they remolded it . I do not want anything for this I just do not want anyone to have to experience this!!

Check in ..

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: The rooms were clean and fresh. located by shopping and restaurants. ALL other staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: Get a heater for the pool.... Instruct the staff behind the desk., on how to deal with the customer and stock that breakfast area with FRESH items....
Location: Located in heart of where I needed to be.
The girl behind the desk, Tammy was nice enough upon arrival, however as we got into the check-in process she was irritated and frustrated with me and it showed on her face, demeanor and attitude, The information that she was telling me did not go along with what I had set up with expedia. My total bill was to be around $273.00 and she gave me two check in sheets totaling over $400.00. When I questioned her she said something about the taxes were very high in Kentucky.... okay but not double of what the room would cost. I realized she set up to packets with room keys on the desk... and it was then I noticed that they had different room numbers on them. She still wanted me to sign the agreement to pay the higher then agreed upon amount... when I refused she was irritated. I asked her to read back the instructions from expedia... which indicated I wanted 2 rooms...my request was one room two beds....she proceeded to give me a refund on the extra room but still wanted me to sign a paper that had the $400 something total on it... I refused.... If any one had the right to be frustrated it was me... 14 hour drive from Florida, rain, construction, lost... very late arrival... NOT HER. Be a professional ...Bathroom very old ....shower was an issue with the hot water (almost got burned) Had to go to the desk and get a plunger, just in case (slow moving toilet) pool disappointing (looked great in the pics) breakfast was not what they made it sound like in the add...under stocked..

Pros: The pool was clean and nice. The hotel staff were very pleasant to deal with. The waffles for breakfast were great as well.
Cons: The room odor, not overpowering but not pleasant. The waterfall at the pool.
Location: I had family functions to attend at the local parks
Decent room. Very soft bed. Clean room. Smoking room was all that was available so there was a smell of smoke. Im a non smoker.

Hopeful yet disappointed

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: That we got out of there alive.
Cons: The staff, the cleanliness, and a decent raid.
Location: We were about 30 minutes from lake Cumberland.
Motel was sketchy, yet was the only place to stay in that area. While I was in the middle of a daytime shower, the water went from warm to ice cold in seconds! That is not good with my arthritis. When husband told them at the front desk about this, we were told that we should consult our "neighbors" as to when they would be using the shower. Unbelievable! Every time we left and came back, our key card wouldn't work. constantly had to take it to the front desk to reactivate. Then, when we were leaving on the second night, we found drugs hidden in our room. Scary stuff! will NEVER stay at a motel like that again!

Not equipped.

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: The pool
Cons: everything
I had ask for a roll a way bed in my reservations and got confirmation saying they had it. When we got there they said they did not say that and my son had to sleep on the nasty floor. So we went swimming and had ask for towels and they said they did not have any....What kind of hotel does not have towels for people who go swimming. It was not a good experience

The basics

This is a good motel with the basic necessities at a good location. We have stayed here several times in the last three years for the car show weekend with no issues.

Just OK

Posted May 4, 2015 on Hotels
overall it was just "ok". The room smelled like wet dog, carpeting looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in years and in-room phone didn't work. Odd also was the fact that hotel didn't have a guide on the tv oh it told you what channel was what but, the channel guide didn't tell you what was on any station so you had to surf channel by channel

Not worth it...

Posted May 4, 2015
I picked this hotel because of what it was supposed to offer. Unfortunately, what it looked like online didnt come close to what it really has. First, it claims its a non-smoking hotel. It is not. The room didnt have a just smoked in smell, it had a stale smoked in for years and not properly cleaned to claim smoke free. The pics online showed a pool with a waterfall and hot tub. The hot tub was covered by boards, and you could see the nasty water that has been there for a long time underneath. The waterfall didnt work, and was told it will not be fixed. This hotel needs someone who has worked in a hotel previously to fix this place. It was obvious the staff was green. For some reason when they collected the trash from cans and rooms they dropped the bags a few feet in front of our door. Not a big deal, but our 16 hours there, smelly trash was in front of our door half the time. We had to ask them to do what is normally expected. You shouldn't have to ask if they could clean up the blood around the pool deck, etc... One reason we will never go back is what happened at night. at 1:30am all of a sudden loud music and very loud non -guests showed up and were very loud and rude in parking lot, just a few feet from our door. There were young men yelling profanities and what they were planning on doing sexually. It was obscene. There was no hotel workers near or to be found, and it went on for about an hour. It was shameful and Expedia needs to drop them...
