Loved it. Much better stay than in the Lake George Village, which is very congested. Very quiet, intimate, yet very family friendly. Its location is perfect. There is a stables just down the road, a place to go lazy river tubing just 2 minutes away, miniature golfing 5 minutes away, public beach for Lake Luzerne 10 minutes away and if you want to go to Lake George, its around 10 minutes away, opposite directions. The cottage was clean and ready for our stay. My daughter, who's 7, loved the private lake and play ground. I would recommend this to place, just know you have to bring your own towel! We will come back here. It was a great find!

Sonia, thanks for the great review. It is nice to hear from a guest who enjoy the Hideaway as much as we do. We try to make our cottages "clean and ready" and where the kids can enjoy being a kids in a safe family friendly and safe place. Thanks again... Pete
Off season gemPosted Jun 5, 2017 on Hotels
Loved the place! Cottage was awesome, really beautiful, right on the lake. Did a little fishing, nice campfire. Only negative was that the cabins were very close together, closer than they appear on the website. We shared a dock, boats with the cabin next door, but that was not a problem. Good proximity to Lake George, with tons of things to do there, restaurants, shops, etc. I would absolutely stay here again in the off season. If you do stay there, you need to bring all food and condiments. Utensils, pans etc are supplied, but no food or paper towels. The website tells you to bring your own towels, which we did, but we were a bit surprised that there was not even salt in the kitchen. Now that I know, it is no problem, just caught me by surprise.
