Eclectic and Quirky with amazing views
5 / 5 Excellent
This house is so unusual and we loved it. It was like staying in an antiques museum.
Communication with Mary was quick and she is very responsive to any questions or issues.
The house has room upstairs and downstairs for lazing around and the bedrooms are nicely sized. The kitchen, which is reminiscent of older homes, is extremely small and hard to cook large meals in, but it gets the job done and was nicely stocked with cookware.
The 2 story boathouse is a very cool feauture. The dock is difficult to maneuver with a larger boat (ours is 24ft), due to where the tie off cleats are located and the water level is pretty shallow. The shallow water has its advantages also as we could just sit in the water and not worry about treading water all of the time. The kids enjoyed it. The backyard is very pretty and relaxing although the midges (flying insects) will carry you away. The house is conveniently located close to the public boat ramp.
If you don't mind a more rustic charm then this is a good recommendation and the view is amazing.
