Casa Escondida, the perfect name
1. Difficult to find as the access road off the highway is more viewable going East than West... we finally stopped and asked someone. Our GPS could never locate either the property address or the access road.
2. Our room was small and cramped... no A/C or ceiling fan, lighting was dim, and mattress soft instead of firm.
3. We thought breakfast was a disaster... a buffet breakfast with a full range of breakfast items instead of table servings would be best.

could be so much better
We loved Bex- bartender. Sweet girl. Makes great drinks. We used to live in the area. Thought it'd be fun for old times sake to stay here. For the price - it is not a great value. This place has so much potential. It's right off the square but feels nothing like old mesilla.
Nice small intimate hotel. Very close to Old Mesilla area. Nice clean pool which was appreciated on the 100+ degree temp when we were there. Our room has a shared varanda that was huge and a nice feature. Our room itself, while small, was nicely furnished and very comfortable. Hotel has a small restaurant which dinner was our least favorite part of our stay. They do provide a free cooked to order breakfast which was nice. There are several other nice restaurants very close by. All in all, it was a very nice get away and we will visit here again.
