The Blackberry Preserve welcomes you with true mountain cabin feel, complete with vaulted ceilings and skylights throughout, bringing the outdoors in. All the modern conveniences of home can be found in this high country retreat. Upon arrival you're greeted by the stacked stone wood-burning fireplace, three comfortable bedrooms: master with a king sized bed & on-suite, satellite TV. A second queen bedroom with big screen TV, and a third bedroom with queen sized bed; the two queen bedrooms have a bathroom easily accessible to both. The cozy loft easily sleeps 6 with queen sized bed and two twin beds. Our spacious living area offers a smart TV, also satellite equipped. Enjoy all the comforts of home while getting away from it all in one of the most scenic areas of North Carolina. Stay connected with Wi-Fi internet access, prepare meals in the well equipped kitchen or on the gas grill & take advantage of the washer & dryer. Outdoors is as comfortable and welcoming as the indoors, relax on one of the two decks or covered porches or at our fire pit.

Great house for a multi-generational family
The property was great. The kids stayed in the loft and the adults all had their own room in the main living space. The kitchen and house were well equipped. We loved the proximity to Blowing Rock and Boone. The kids especially loved walking down to check out the goats in the neighboring farm. Thanks for being great hosts.

Wonderful space
We loved how this location was tucked away and private. Everything was available in the house and very clean. The kids had a great time playing outside and moms all got to read books while looking at the stars. This property is in close proximity to blowing rock and Happy Valley Filling station. What a wonderful gem! Can’t wait to stay again!

Perfect place for a Blowing Rock getaway
This was our second stay at this property, and it’s simply perfect for our needs. The property is lovely and configured just right for us. We love the stacked fireplace and thoroughly enjoy the spacious decks out back. The accommodations and accoutrements provide everything we need and more. The property is so accessible to Hwy 321 and downtown Blowing Rock, and yet it feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We’re already planning our next visit!

Location, location, location…
Just returned from a family trip to the Boone area and this cabin definitely checked the boxes. Just a few miles south of Blowing Rock, you feel removed but still close to everything the area has to offer. The loft area was perfect for the kids and the host even provided some building blocks and stuffed animals to keep them entertained. When sitting on the porch, you can hear and see a little creek below the property. Ample parking and a very accessible driveway. We had a slight issue when checking in, but the host was quick to respond and make it right. Really enjoyed our stay!

Awesome cabin!
This cabin was amazing, felt very private and had everything we needed for a full week stay. Location was great, about 8-10 minutes from downtown blowing rock and close to Boone, sugar mountain, etc. I would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely amazing family trip!
My family and I traveled to stay here for Thanksgiving. What a wonderful little cabin tucked away but still close to so many activities. We enjoyed family time and so much more. I miss it already. We will definitely be back! Don’t miss out on this little slice of heaven.

Beautiful, spacious, welcoming cabin
This was a lovely cabin for our multigenerational large family gathered for a wedding in Blowing Rock. The vibrant fall colors surrounded us. We walked every day down the lane, visiting Joe and the cute pottery shop. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful stay, and our only regret is that we didn’t book for a longer visit! The accommodations were lovely, super comfortable and perfect for our family. We loved both the indoor and outdoor spaces and enjoyed the beautiful fireplace each evening. The close proximity to downtown Blowing Rock and the Broyhill Equestrian Preserve optimally met our needs. We’ll definitely book here again on future visits to Blowing Rock and the surrounding area. Home away from home
What a great spot in the mountains! So close to so many fun things to do. We had a few super rainy days, but still had lots of fun with some indoor activities nearby. Also, lots of relaxing. Everything was very clean. Had everything most homes would have. We did meet a racoon on the deck, who had just escaped from rummaging in the outdoor trashcans, but he seemed more scared of us then we were of him. :) A wonderful spot for families. Lots of fun toys and games.

we had an amazing stay in North Carolina. What a great house and the bed and sheets were so comfortable. So much room in the living area. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. Communication was fantastic. Everyone should climb grandfather mountain and do the grandfather trail if you were not afraid of heights! There were many rope ladders, wires to hang on and tight areas to step through. It was amazing. Did slide rock and the Alpine roller coaster. So many beautiful pictures and great family memories.

I have nothing but good things to say about our stay. the house was clean with every amenities you need including in the kitchen. Near to blowing rock, Boone and app ski mountain. we spend an entire week and wanted to stay at least another. thank you so much. we're coming back for sure. *Btw for Floridians that don't have 4x4 cars, house location is very easy to get there, not steep hill or dangerous road.

Great stay
We loved our stay at Blackberry Preserve! It was very close to Blowing Rock, yet still far enough away to have some privacy and quiet. The kitchen is very well stocked, only missing some cooking items like Pam and different spices, though I imagine those are hard to keep stocked in a rental house. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows & blankets if needed. The hot tub works well; we were surprised to see some maintenance people working on the hot tub when we returned to the cabin after an outing on Friday, but they said they do maintenance every Friday (which is pretty great in my book). Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to be in the Blowing Rock area! Very clean & well maintained.

Nice enough...but needs some TLC
Overall, this cabin was nice. Location was great, close enough to Blowing Rock, while still being secluded. Plenty of room for our group of 6. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. However, there were quite a few negatives. The hot tub needs maintenance; only half the jets worked & the cover needs to be replaced altogether...it was a nightmare trying to wrestle that thing off & on! Beds were very uncomfortable..could definitely use new mattresses or some toppers. Very limited space to unpack your things; some rooms had a few empty dresser drawers, but most were stuffed with extra sheets, etc and only 1 room had a closet to hang up clothes. The temperature in the cabin is also quite uneven, upstairs & the 3 Bears room stayed hot, while the Master bedroom was freezing. The DVD player was in a drawer, but could not be hooked up to TV as there was no port...so that was a bummer since we had brought holiday movies to watch. We enjoyed our stay, but will probably stay somewhere else next time.

Wonderful family getaway
Our family of 4 felt right at home at Blackberry Preserve. Had everything we needed to enjoy a nice fall break getaway. Wonderful touches with the branded travel sized soap and shampoo, beautifully folded towels, fresh folded linens left on every bed. The cabin was very clean, and the hot tub maintenance folks even showed up while we were there (so you know it is well maintained!). You can tell this is a place well loved by the owners and respected by the guests. It was rainy and foggy during much of our trip, but we got a beautiful sunrise off the back porch on our final morning. We're already looking forward to planning our next trip to Blackberry Preserve.

Beautiful Views - Great Location
We traveled out to Blowing Rock as 2 moms with our young elementary aged daughters. We were looking for a centrally located place to stay so we could explore the area. This cabin was such a warm and cozy spot nestled in the trees. We were so excited walking in on our first night. Our eight-year-old girls were in awe of the log cabin feel and absolutely loved the loft! The porch overlooking the trees and beautiful views was perfect! It had three different areas where you could sit and enjoy Coffee in the mornings, have lunch in the afternoon or sit late in the evening and stare up at the stars. it almost felt like we were in a treehouse! The rooms were very tidy and welcoming. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. Out of the driveway, we were super close to everything we wanted to explore. We would definitely recommend this property to families, friends, young and old! We will be back!

Our favorite place
This is our second time staying here and it continues to be our favorite. The house is minutes from downtown blowing rock but is down a quiet little street and very secluded. It’s extremely clean and equipped with everything you need. We will stay again for sure!
