Peace in the mountains
Nice little house on the mountain! Very quiet and secluded location. We enjoyed being away from the city. It was nice to just sit on the deck in the sun with a beer, enjoying the view and quiet or the hot tub after spending time in Shenandoah National Park hiking. We grilled our dinners and enjoyed sitting by the fire-pit at night. The house is nicely equipped but could use a few things like newer pans, cooking oil, creamer to go with the coffee, and oil on the squeaky back storm door.

A great little hideaway
A home away from home. Very remote, with stunning views particularly from the hot tub and fire pit. We had all the equipment there to make a meals from scratch including some herbs and spices. We would all come again from England and America

The mountains are calling…
…and you must go!!! Can’t say enough about this amazing property. Zero complaints! Spotlessly clean, detailed instructions about check in and check out. Well stocked with things we didn’t expect - hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, firewood. Very quiet, up a long private drive. You can probably get up without 4-wheel drive (in good weather), but the hubby enjoyed the opportunity to use it ;) Views were amazing. The stars were beautiful. Saw a bear, heard owls and other cool birds. The hot tub was fabulous, and we utilized the fire pit. Bring bug spray, and be prepared to wash dishes by hand. No problems with cell service (phone calls), but the cellular data was very spotty. We had to go outside the house to get anything, and one day we couldn’t get data service at all. Just keep that in mind…this might be a little too remote for remote office work! Within 30 minutes of lots of cool activities - river tubing, zip lining, Luray Caverns, wineries, hiking, horseback riding. Cannot wait to return!! The only suggestions I have for the owner are - a place to store non refrigerated food, and a clearer path to the advertised hiking trail. We tried, but couldn’t figure out where the trail was. Neither of those were deal breakers for us by any means. We will be going back!

Loved it so much except for the drive up lol
The house itself beautiful, well decorated very cozy very inviting! Super family friendly had a pack & play and a high chair !!! Had everything you needed to cook with and clean up with. The only down side was the drive up to the house was scary if you’re afraid of heights or tight rocky roads…I would recommend bringing a lot of bug spray!!!! Overall amazing we did tons of activities and witnessed the sunset & sun rise along with experienced a big thunderstorm at the top of the mountains.

Mountain Getaway
Great clean property. Loved the hot tub, pavilion and fire pit. Close to many activities. Don’t miss the small winery that is just a mile down the road to Stanley. Would book again.

The views were amazing! Secluded is an understatement, but nice. The driveway coming in is very steep and gravel. It had some ruts from the rain, but my front wheel car made it just fine. Bring your own frying pans if you plan to cook. The ones there were ruined and unusable. Being your own sheets and pillows. The place was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. I wouldnt mind returning .

Great location
We loved the location and the property. 4 wheel drive was definitely nice with the driveway. We saw a timber rattlesnake on our driveway, a bear down in the woods past the wood pile and lots of deer. The view is gorgeous even our kids enjoyed it.
