Welcome to the "Treehouse at Cataloochee," hosted by Carolina Mountain Vacation Homes! Privacy, views, luxury, with zero compromises at 4900 feet. Be captured by the immediate splendor of untouched beauty. Listen to the trees and the creek speak to your soul. Walk across the unique swinging rope bridge to access the brand new HOT TUB!

The Treehouse at Cataloochee was at one point the actual tree house for the children of the Cataloochee area and has been lovingly restored throughout the years. The nostalgic nature of this property will have your heart swelling with mountain joy as you sit around the crackling, wood-burning fireplace.

Walk to the Cataloochee Ski Resort and among any of the numerous trails surrounding this tasteful, luxurious mountain getaway with a new modern and rustic interior design.

Upstairs you will find the King bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony where you open your eyes each morning to overlook the Great Smoky Mountains. The quaint feel, beauty, and views will bring you peace and tranquility.

This luxurious home allows for 4 adult guests. The balcony/Loft area features a King Suite with a claw-foot bathtub for soaking. Twin day-bed/trundle in King bedroom can be used for young children.

The main level offers the perfect space for relaxing by the fire, crafting meals, and melting away. Newly renovated full bathroom with river-rock shower. The deck on the main level includes designer outdoor seating and a propane grill.

The lower level, with a separate entrance, features a cozy queen bedroom next to a gas fireplace, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a laundry area. The Lower screened-in deck offers guests plush, luxury seating for afternoon cool naps.

Make your way down to the real wood-burning fire pit for the marshmallow roasting experience!

Work from the treehouse with High-Speed Wifi for your video conferencing needs, or binge your favorite new shows with Roku devices on all TVs. Great signal for calls even while hiking (feel free to turn off your devices and avoid screens).

Not quite a Ski n’ Ski-out, but the best access to Cataloochee Ski Area that's available for rent. Walk to Cataloochee Ranch horse stables. Five minutes to Maggie Valley. Twenty minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway. Twenty-five minutes to Waynesville, NC. Thirty minutes to Harrah’s Casino, Cherokee gambling. Forty-five minutes to Asheville, NC, home of the Biltmore House.

For reservations between Nov 1 and April 1st you MUST have FOUR WHEEL DRIVE and understand that it may snow and you can get snowed in!! Guests are responsible for vacating the property on their check-out date and time.

Awesome venue for couple to get away

Details of place were accurate and place was great. It is a small kitchen so bring some prepped food for convenience. The IS a Weber gas grill (only shows a small charcoal in photos). Highly recommended.

Best spot in Maggie Valley!!

Great view!!!! Great hot tub!! Good location to all the spots you’d want to go in this part of the mountains. Kitchen is a bit tight but that should be expected in a smaller house. The view from the master is awesome to wake up to. Walking outside to the second bedroom takes some getting used to but not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Will def be back to stay at this property again!!!

Anniversary Trip

My wife has always wanted to stay in a Treehouse. She absolutely loved the location and uniqueness of this property. Everything was as promised and more with exquisite views. The only thing I would caution some is the stairs going upstairs. They are steep and narrow and carrying luggage up them is not the easiest. I had knee surgery last year and I made it with no problems but I was very careful. Once you are upstairs the view will not disappoint. Thanks again for making this a special Anniversary for my wife and I.

The Most Amazing View

The views from all three decks are amazing. Deck furniture is high quality and comfortable. Hot tub was hot and clean. Primary bed is like sleeping on a cloud. Very comfortable. We had to closely inspect kitchen items as some were dirty, dangerous chipped rims on glasses, dead bug in pots, and expired condiments. Nothing we couldn’t solve with provided dish soap. Had some trouble finding the key box on arrival. I wouldn’t recommend arriving for the first time in the dark. Do not recall the listing stating that you have to transport your own garbage 25 min away or leave additional cash money beyond the $165 cleaning fee already paid.

Amazing Location

Very clean and unique property with amazing views! It was supposed to be 2 couples, but ended up just being my husband and I. Things to note: very windy stairs to get to master, the second bedroom is below the main level and you must enter from the outside, there are only 2 seats to dine and 4 in the living room would have been pretty cramped. Great space for a one couple get away.

Perfect Getaway!

Wife & I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. Everything was amazing! The cabin/treehouse smells soooo good, like wood and spice. It was private, cozy, and romantic. Loved the hot tub out on the deck. We felt like we were in our own little world. Definitely want to stay here again!
