Mandana Castle Hotels

This is a beautiful property, it is like staying in a historical mansion. We stayed in a king suite and the room was huge and very nice. Continental breakfast was simple and sufficient, great experience overall. We had an emergency situation at home (12 hrs away) and the manager was extremely helpful in working with us so that we could leave a day early. Would definitely recommend this hotel…close to Skeaneatles and the lake.

My 7 C's are comfort, cleanliness, conveniences, character, close to points of interest, cost, and coolness (A/C). And Nightshade Inn & Gardens gets 5 out of 5 gold stars in each category. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and immaculate, with a lot of classic homey comforts in a recently remodeled and modern setting, with wonderful bathroom amenities, convenient free parking in front of your room, free and easy access to Wi-Fi and a wide range of free streaming TV programming (such as Roku,...

Love this hotel. Perfect stopover to Niagara Falls. Yummy breakfast.

Very unique Adirondack type lodge!! It was just what I was looking for!!! I didn't like that last 2 nights of my 4 night stay I had to listen to a dog barking in the room next to me.

Very clean. Great front desk service. You can tell it's the type of roadside motel that prides itself on cleanliness and comfort. When in season: There's outside chairs everywhere, front and back. And if it's nice out, definitely look behind the motel. Nice, wide open space w/chairs and room to run/roam. I was in room 1 and noticed there was also adjoining rooms available which is a nice plus if needed. There's been some comments on traffic/noise...it's not hugging the road by any means. But...

Most of the staff was very friendly and treated us like we were very special to them. One middle-aged woman working the breakfast area was a bit terse. She was not friendly at all.

Amazing B&B! Right across form the lake. The most amazing host (Clark) ever!! So responsive. Very knowledgeable about the area. Offered recommendations and concierge service. Emailed me recs before arrival. Tailored breakfast to all your dietary needs/concerns. Always available by text for any issues. Felt like I was at home and like I'd known him for years! He clearly loves what he does! Room was super clean. Had a Keurig, wine glasses, cork screw, water in the fridge, air...

We were traveling very late and found this hotel on Expedia. Called the front desk to let them know we would be arriving later and Katie was so sweet! She put us at ease that we would be able to check in later with no problems. Front desk clerk got us checked in quickly and was very kind. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great and staff were monitoring area to clean and refill food as it was taken.

The location, of course, makes it a standout, as well as the attention to detail. The decor is thoughtful--beautiful and welcoming. Anna and Renee were warm and attentive innkeepers. And COVID regulations were very good. I stayed in room #9, which was fully outfitted in Mackenzie Child. It had a lake view and was quite cozy and comfortable. I would like to return in a warmer season to better experience the lake. If I had to name one negative, it's that the water pressure was pretty weak in the...

Clerk very personable and eager to accommodate our need to meet deadline. Breakfast was of nice variety, fresh, and plentiful. We'd recommend this hotel to anyone without reservations.

Our stay was short, but the property was well maintained…bathroom spotless…would stay again

We are grateful for a clean, comfortable, easily accessed property for our Syracuse University visit in October 2026. Will DEFINITELY pin this property for our next visit!

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!
