"Our stay Las Verandas was an incredible experience! My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and feel like we hit the jackpot. The property is located on a private road and away from the main tourist areas, but only a 30 minute ride to places like West End or Mohagany Bay if you’re looking for a fun night out. It was really nice to have the option to go out and socialize in town but then come back to the sounds of crashing waves and native birds. A true oasis. The property is gorgeous and well-maintained, the rooms are stunning with high-end amenities, comfortable bedding and mattresses, amazing pool options, and an awesome restaurant! But the best part of our stay was the staff. Everywhere we went on the property, staff went out of their way to check on us, speak to us, and give us recommendations for things to do on our first trip to Roatan. I can’t wait to return and actually check out these recommendations, but for this trip we were so content with the service and luxury of Las Verandas that we hardly left the property. I am already looking into booking our next stay later this year. Do not miss your chance to stay at Las Verandas! "

"First off the concierge Caroline met our flight, took us grocery shopping, and was a bright note throughout our stay. The villa was a perfect getaway. The restaurant was a few minutes walk along the beach and their food was delicious. It is a great place for family gatherings. We’re sorry our family was unable to join us, but overall we had a great time. So great we were wishing we could have had a few more days."

"This property is exactly as the description states. The grounds are gorgeous, the home is well equipped, and the private pool is a nice touch for families with kids. The flora and fauna are aplenty and the on site security definitely ensure your safety. Highly recommend!"

"What a spot! I have to say that the location of the house was utterly fabulous. As I lay in bed or did yoga or visited with my family right in front of the huge glass walls opening out onto a most gorgeous ocean in every shade of blue and gray, depending on the weather, with the palm trees and other flowers and plants dotting the beach, I felt like I was soaking in paradise. We felt totally safe, which is not always the case in this part of the world, such that we didn't worry about walking the beach alone, day or night. Every time we left, all I wanted was to come back, as the towns were chaotic and there were sales people roaming the beaches. My one disapointment was that the "bedroom" with the single bed is actually a nook with no door inside the second master. I had counted on that room for my teen who needs her space and that didn't work out. We loved the brewery walking distance, just outside the gate, and also had a couple of extra nice meals at the Cove restaurant in the resort. The prices at both places, as well as the taxis and groceries are at or above American standard costs, though, FYI. The pool was clean and lovely and we especially loved the dock and the shaded hammocks and loungers at the end. Perfect for swimming off of in the lovely clear, flat water, especially since quite a bit of sea grass grows in the water near the beach. We had a couple minor issues at the house during our two weeks and the management fixed them promptly. Highly recommend."

"Our large family group enjoyed our stay at Palmetto Bay. As native Hondurans, the property was reminiscent of the natural flora and flauna that has been removed from more popular parts of the islands. The more natural feel was accompanied by an increased wildlife presence which has its pros and cons. Management was very responsive and the restaurant food was really good. We used the dive shop to go snorkeling which was also a 5 star experience. It was the little things that made this a 4 star property (instead of 5). The kitchen lacked seasonings, we couldn't use the dishwasher, the guesthouse's appliances didn’t work. These things were minor for us and the good definitely outweighed any challenges we had. The property was absolutely beautiful, the home was nicely designed, management was responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future."
