"We were very disappointed this time to see the condition of the hotel with plastic tarp on the roof. Very old now need some updating. And the front office so sad to see that it has turned into shelves of books instead of the sweet little breakfast nook at once was."

"We stay at this guest house at least yearly and it never disappoints. The host is very thoughtful and has made sure everything is available for your stay. The Keurig coffee machine even has a “shot” size that is perfect for a packet of instant oatmeal. The location is quiet with great onsite parking and is centrally located so it’s easy to get to any of the Monterey Bay area attractions. Seaside has grown and there are excellent restaurants and brewery in town."

"Room was clean, roomy, more than adequate for 4 people, our 2 boys shared the king bed in the front room. The smaller private room has a full closet, queen bed and cable tv on a big screen. Mini-fridge was actually cold!! All the beds were comfortable and you cannot beat the location, we walked to the boardwalk and wharf daily! Indoor heated pool and spa! Nice place, quiet and in the best location for tourists activities. We would stay again."

"My wife and I stayed here the weekend of our wedding. The suite was spotless and so comfortable. It really felt like a nice home we would live in ourselves. There were plenty of amenities- from cheese boards to luxurious blankets! Due to the large windows, vaulted ceilings (which had beautiful, exposed wood beams) and minimal design, the suite felt very spacious. The only thing I wish was different about our stay is as other people noted, you need to bring lots of extra water to use for drinking/washing up because of the non-potable water in the room. While you enjoy the beautiful weather in a stunning home, you may get a chance to visit with Sophie. She’s the 18 month old little girl who never stops smiling. "We liked everything about this classic, updated motel. Service was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. We had a standard, amply-sized room with a fireplace as a bonus, at an affordable rate. Feels like a mid-century California coastal motel, in a row of similar places down the road. It was a little bit of a walk, not terrible, to the downtown and Cannery Row locations. We walked throughout of our 3-day stay without trouble. We'd stay at the Arbor Inn again to visit lovely Monterey."
