“They did a great job renovating the Tar Heel motel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Bring K-cups with you if you are a big coffee drinker and don’t pack heavy. This is the best of old school Outer Banks, reminds me of when my parents would take us to OBX in the 70’s staying at the Beacon.”

She was surprised at the lack of outlets for charging her many electronic devices. Myself, this was to be expected and I didn't stress over it! “Our stay was pleasant although I wondered how often they rotate the beds since the mattress seemed uncomfortable for my husband and I. The lady front desk said they do.”
