okay for a beach trip

Beach location. An old motel with Some things updated and small conveniences in room. Friendly staff. Carpeting in room and outside walkway seriously need to be cleaned but Its a good option for a budget hotel with acess to beach

Best location and price. 3 times staying with them this season. No bs, no trouble just easy access to the beach. If your super picky and a constant nag stay away. This is a great location they don't need negative people bringing them down

ok room.great local.not convinced on management

You get what you pay for. Expect a few stains on the carpet, etc, but I wasn't repelled or afraid to go to sleep. It's in an excellent location, right on the beach, which is where you want to spend most of your time anyway. It's also at the very end of south beach, so it's a long walk (1.5 miles) to the family adventure, and another mile to the "center" of the boardwalk. BUT. being at the end of the beach means you have easy access to things by car like Market Commons and 17 south which takes you to restaurant row, all of the famous theaters, and Barefoot Landing. All of the rooms are different. Some have a recliner, some have a pull out sofa, some have a kitchenette, you just have to call and ask. Finally, the biggest setback is that the owner or manager is only in the office at certain times. It's hard to tell when he is there, and he will not answer the phone if he is not in. Our "neighbors" couldn't get the key to open their door at 11 pm and there was no one in the office to help them. They did finally get it open but it was luck and they would not have gotten any help from management from the hotel. Overall, it's a great location, ok room, but I would worry about getting any help should trouble arise.

This room was clean. Nothing updated in quite a long time. Bonus...the fridge fits a pizza box!

Right by the beach

It wasn't by the boardwalk, but it is right on the beach. There were no bugs, but there we're holes in the blankets. The furniture is old, shower was loud. The entire plumbing in the bathroom was poor. Overall for a broke college kid, this hotel did the trick.
