"Lots of thoughts about Vidanta. The property itself is very beautiful. I’ll try to name the pros and cons. There are many pools, lots of chairs. Lots of places to be and activities to be done. It’s a really beautiful and well kept property. The room is spacious and clean. The housekeeping staff were always greeting me and they were very efficient and kind. Front desk staff were great too. Since my check-in, Martha (Grand luxxe 3) has been very helpful and nice. The spa was good and it’s a relief that it’s included. It was a shame that Sea tonic was extra. Now the cons. The property does not necessarily allow Uber or not ride share friendly. Your only choice is their overpriced taxis and the premises are so far away from normal life. If you go to Vidanta either dish out on taxis or forget outside world. Wish they had a shuttle service to the city like the hotels in Orlando. Be prepared to walk a lot. There is a shuttle service between locations on site but whenever I requested one from the staff outside they kept telling me to walk and it’s not too far but those distances add up. The food was overpriced which I understand but tbh it did not taste good considering the prices. Nothing from the bakery was fresh. The croissants were soggy and they do not even warm it up before serving. Santuario shows seating is tiered. Buy drinks to sit at the front makes no sense. I would consider Vidanta again. But not sure if it would be my priority due to all the cash grab traps."

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta - All Inclusive

"The location itself it’s beautiful it’s in a very nice side of town and the area feels safe and modern. HOWEVER, The hotel itself is on the outdated side. The amenities are outdated and the place lacks cleanliness. I mean the basic needs are there but you can tell that the place doesn’t get deep cleaned nor are they keeping up with maintaining the facilities clean at all times. Some of the outside showers were missing water knobs others simply didn’t work. The staff was okay, they sent me over to the seven floor because I am an elite member with Expedia; thus I got a special welcoming along with other perks like discounts and what not but nothing crazy. I was actually glad they sent me up because the front desk downstairs was hectic and chaotic. Staff wasn’t really welcoming or friendly. The bar was basic, nothing great all alcohol tasted the same. The cups needed to be properly washed the smelled bad. The food surprisingly wasn’t bad, I really enjoyed the variety of foods they had. It’s in fresh and I had a good taste. But the presentation at times was very poor it didn’t give like there was a hygiene protocol being followed. This was mainly in the buffet area. Overall, I don’t think I’ll come back to this place but I think that we got our moneys worth?"

"Clean but poorly maintained. Upon check-in nothing in our room worked. Air conditioner broken. Safe couldn't be opened, lamp dangerous electrical problem, large daybed in room with king-size bed for only 2 persons. Daybed could not be removed. Tennis court condition terrible, large cracks, poorly maintained. Quality of food much degraded over last visit. Biggest problem, full capacity with .thousands of children, but adult pool closed for our entire 9 day stay. Staff overworked. Much reduced entertainment schedule from last stay. Best thing beach area, Italian and Mexican specialty restaurant. Certainly 3 star is a stretch. Will not return despite living in Mexico."

Hotel Las Palomas

6/10 Okay

"We went to the Oyster festival. It was a great location. The event was walking distance. You don’t get the rooms that they advertise. We requested a different location and they move us. Location: Perfect. Staff: Great. Parking: Inside parking. Amenities: Great. Continental breakfast: Good. Rooms: Clean & spacious. The only down fall was we had no hot water, toilet seat loose & toilet tank water constantly running. Besides that, everything was great!"
