Beautiful view right on Canyon Lake!

The house is in a great location and has a fabulous view and plenty of room! However it is outdated and was not very clean!

Just what we needed, a nice weather getaway weekend! Thank you for a great time!

          5/5 Excellent

Beautiful views of the lake! Perfect setup for the entire family!

The home was just perfect for our needs this trip. My parents (seventies) were able to enjoy the large bedroom with TV on the main floor so they didn't have to go up and down any steps. My husband and I had just as nice bedroom downstairs with another bedroom for our adult kids so we could hang out down there, play pool watch TV play music without bothering my parents. It was really a perfect setup. The stairs are steep going down to the water which was only a bummer for my dad because he really wanted to fish but only made it down and barely back up once. I did want to note that there is a tv in the big upstairs room now so we were all able to sit and watch the Dodger games comfortably! 😊The lovely deck out back off the kitchen was where we had breakfast each morning and enjoyed watching fhe sun set each night. Deer visited each morning and the views were truly spectacular! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you John!

              Great stay at Canyon Lake!

This was the perfect place for our get-away and we really enjoyed our stay here! The house was spacious and comfortable. We made good use of all of the amenities! We ate, drank, laughed, and danced under the stars on the huge deck overlooking the lake. There were 2 kings and 2 queen bedrooms, and plenty of lounging space to be together as a group, or to spread out. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with pots, pan, dishes, glasses, etc. For your planning purposes, the coffee makers use loose grounds, Not k-cup pods. There were some spices, that people had left. Don't forget to bring ice, baggies or cellophane for leftovers, olive oil or Pam spray, sugar/creamer, extra paper towels, bath soap and shampoo (but there were containers of bodywash etc.). There is a nice HEB in New Braunfels, and a local market and nearby convenience stores in Sattler, if you forget something. Bring a music player/speaker, and maybe an air pump for floats and tubes...there was a closet full of them for your use, but they needed air. The climb down the stone stairs to the lake was long and steep; there is no handrail. If you try it, don't drag too much with you...its heavier on the way up! And wear water socks or river sandals. But if the climb is too much for your abilities, there is plenty to do in the house: watching the deer in the backyard (and throughout the area - be careful when driving, especially at night), ping-pong/pool table, darts, games, bookcases full of interesting reads, and cozy places to sit and just enjoy the views with the company of friends and family. There is also a public boat ramp with a floating dock near the entrance of the neighborhood. If you get tired of the spectacular views, you might consider professional help; but, there is plenty to do nearby in New Braunfels, Gruene, Wimberley: shopping, spas, golf, restaurants, music, etc. Many thanks to our friendly and gracious host, for offering this property and for being available to answer questions when needed.
