Everything was excellent; we couldn’t be happier with the bed & breakfast. The location was in walking distance to several tourist destinations but far away enough from the bars for a good night’s sleep, even with the New Year’s Eve festivities. That really mattered to us! The bedroom suite with bathroom was unique and very clean.
Tom was an exceptional host, conversationalist and historian. The breakfasts were beautiful, delicious and varied throughout our stay and it was pleasant to chat with other guests each morning. It was so nice that he had Sunday bagels from NYC- where we came from, but hadn’t had in months- and how nice it was to wake up and smell breakfast each morning. He made a wonderful New Years breakfast with homemade cornbread, ham, egg soufflé, and beans as a traditional New Orleans New Years breakfast.
Tom took care to get to know all his guests and made sure everyone knew about current and historical information about the area. He shared plenty of helpful travel tips for us first- timers and made us feel very welcome. It was far more enjoyable and interesting than staying at a larger hotel. We would love to come back to this vibrant city and will definitely stay here when we do!
