The property appeared to be very clean. I was impressed when we arrived and pleased. However, while sleep I thought I felt something crawling on my arm, then I thought no I'm tripping. Just to wake up hours later, and ants were all over our food from the previous night. It was a trail from the kitchen, up the wall, on the ceiling over the bed, to the window and it was a whole other swarm by the window. I thank God I only felt 1 while sleep. Maintenance was called, he came to spray while we went to get breakfast. When we came back in the room we had to open the windows, as it was hard to eat with the smell of any spray. Not to mention, all the dead ants were peppered all over because maintenance only sprayed and did not wipe them up. That's enough on that topic. The toilet handle also broke as soon as I flushed the first night, so we had to open the toilet to flush until we left. Just disappointing. I will say that, Cielo, the front desk staff, was very helpful and did the best she could until the manager arrived. Also, they wanted me to go ahead and leave and call Expedia later to get my refund. No, no, no because Marriott was still getting paid. So I had to wait about an hour for them to call Expedia to process the refund.
