Malas Excusas, para mal servicio racismo..?

Pros: Me hubiera gustado disfrutar de la picina, pero sin llave de la habitacion y sin servicio de restaurant no me fue posible por los niños
Cons: 1000%
Location: la verdad, inverti el tiempo en buscar alimentos y cosas básicas de baño
Ningún aviso, de no disponer de los servicios básicos 1. Recepción a 80 mts de drive in.- Tener que caminar esa distancia con todos los niños, después de 12 hrs de carretera, resulta poco agradable. 2. No servicio de Valet.- Adicional a lo anterior, no había servicio disponible para bajar las maletas a la habitación; que tal? a las 6:30 pm 3. No proporcionaron llave de habitación por falla en equipo, por lo que cada vez que quería ingresar a la habitación tenia que caminar a la recepción o hablar para que la persona en turno llamara a algún empleado para abrirme la puerta de la habitación. 4. No hay servicio de restaurant. Por lo que tuve que transportar a toda la familia a comer fuera y regresar al hotel a esperar a que alguien me pudiera auxiliar en abrir mi habitación. 5. Habitaciones adjuntas, estaban tomando y haciendo ruidos en la terraza- estacionamiento del hotel. Para terminar la noche las dos habitaciones adjuntas se encontraban tomando cerveza en la terraza y estacionamiento de sus habitaciones haciendo ruidos fuertes y quien sabe que cosa en el estacionamiento. 6. ninguna descuento, o reembolso por todos estos inconvenientes. realmente mal servicio! , familiarmente hablando tenia un concepto erróneo del hotel. estaría mejor en un hotel de paso, sin seguridad, sin servicios, etc. cuando menos me darían una llave!

Needs a lot of basic maintenance

Pros: It's the only hotel in Rio Rico
Cons: General maintenance required everywhere. Poolside and walkways need cleaning. Signage needs improving. Childproof gates around pool don't stay closed
Location: Handy to town centre
Stayed three nights whilst visiting friends in Rio Rico. This is a great example of how a 4 star hotel can degenerate into a 2 star hotel from simple lack of care and maintenance. Our room was clean inside and had a lovely view, but the room air conditioning was extremely loud, both the toilet seat and paper holder broken, old style TV, balcony sliding screen door had jammed. Bird nests in the outside rafters have resulted in an accumulation of their droppings on the walkways immediately outside our room. Pool water was clean but the pool side cabana had collapsed and was simply left to rot. No sign of any activity to fix the damage from the fire that happened a long time ago. Overall very sad to see what was once a grand building slowly falling into a state of disrepair.

Pros: The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location worked very well for us.
Cons: The hotel needs general updates and repairs, and they need to rebuild the reception area and kitchen. For $85/night I expected at least 3 star hotel.
Location: Close distance to Tubac and Nogales, Mexico.
The room was clean and comfortable, but outdated....the TV and room key were difficult to use. There is no restaurant, bar, or front desk lobby due to a fire 3 months prior; we were informed that they hadn't even started repairs. I wish we had known before we made our reservation that there was no onsite restaurant. We were given a paper with a couple of local restaurants, but no deals or delivery offered. The front desk is in a guest room, quite a distance from the original reception area, and not available 24/7. When our key did not work after hours we were directed to call a local number and someone would help us. The reception staff was not very professional, I had to wait for someone to finish doing her hair before I could check out. Also, when we were checking in the front desk person asked for a credit card to charge our room to, although we had already paid through Expedia. The swimming pool was open too early on a Sunday morning, there were kids yelling at 7:30 am. There are no elevators and although we were on the 3rd floor, no one offered to assist us with our luggage. The room was nice, clean, and fairly comfortable.

...the place is getting very run-down. We have been staying here for many years but unfortunately it now seems that money needs to be spent to bring the hotel back up to where it should be.

Recent fire and Locks do not work

Location: Nothing. I stayed at this hotel, further from my destination, and at a higher price, because of they way it looked on line. Not correct representation
This hotel has had a recent fire. The Explendor Resort looked good on line at Expedia. However, when I arrived the lobby area and restaurant were closed. The lobby front desk was being run out of one of the rooms. The cleark could not find my reservation and I had to wait while Maria looked on line to find it. There are several buildings. The staff was filling up one building I guess to seed up the cleaning. The locks did not work. When I went to my room my key did not fit. I went back to the desk (hotel room) to get another key. I was sent back twice and then the maintenance man came and he could not open the door. I was finally given another room. The door are "loose" against the frames and this key did not work here until after many tries. Unsatisfactory!

Well apparently the restaurant has burned down and was not mentioned, there was no food access for breakfast or room service, the power went out due to storm and no emergency light what so ever and not once during our entire 4 days there did I even see a staff member much less get checked on. It's a shame because it could be a wonderful place but it's slippi into despair.

No more Esplendor

Truly a one-star hotel. Drab rooms, small tv with terrible, fuzzy picture and very few channels. No golf channel, no espn, etc. Refrigerator didn't work. Had to chase down a maid to get the room serviced -- still very poor. Bar area had very mediocre food and poor service. No newspapers in lobby. Just a really lousy place to stay.
