Enchanting, Secluded Getaway with Treetop Views

Come and visit our enchanting Elf's Aerie treehouse! Enjoy a romantic getaway or a fun family vacation resting in the tree tops of the Lost Pines Forest. The Elf's Aerie is a unique glamping experience offering the serenity of nature with the comforts of home.

The tree house has a comfortable queen size bed with amazing 360 degree raised deck with treetop views. Two large chairs easily convert into twin beds for extra sleeping accommodations. Clean linens, towels, water, coffee maker and coffee are all supplied for you. Please note: there is no wif-fi or internet available at the tree house.

The tree house features air conditioning and a heater as well as a small refrigerator with ice trays. There are lights throughout and below to enjoy the recreational spaces late into the evening. The bathroom area features a sink with cold running water as well as a small water closet with an incinerating toilet. An open-air outdoor shower provides both hot and cold water with a luxury rain shower head and body sprayer. Our one-of-a-kind recycled glass bottle shower is truly a unique experience!

A propane grill, propane, pots, pans, cooking implements, and dishware for four is supplied for cooking with a camping sink on the ground level for washing up. Guests may want to bring an additional cooler with ice for drinks.

Guests will share 42 heavily wooded acres in the Lost Pines Forest with residents, two short term rental guest houses, and one other tree house. There are shaded trails for walking and observing wildlife. The west facing balconies are a great place to watch sunsets and watch the wildlife!

The property is about 8 miles from the 900 acre Lake Bastrop South & North Shore Parks, Bastrop State Park's trails and swimming pool, 10 miles to the Colorado River, kayak rental, and Bastrop's restaurants. We are near many antique stores and the Round Top antique fair. The Sherwood Forest Faire site is only 6 miles away.

Be aware: Please be on the lookout for scorpions and snakes during your visit. Though they are less active during the cooler months, there are still snakes and scorpions on the property so please be aware, keep a close eye on children and pets, and most importantly -- watch your step.

Go ahead and click the book button. You'll have zero regrets. The property is easy to find. Check in was simple. The hosts have thought of everything. Just bring your food and personal items. Complimentary water, a very well appointed coffee bar, eco-friendly soaps for the outdoor shower, everything you need to cook, including foil and spices are there. Don't be intimidated by the incinerating toilet. It's so simple to use. There literally is no bad smells at all. The pad site has all the comforts you want to be able to cook, enjoy the fire ring or pod chairs. The area is safe and secluded. Well lit at night (you're in control with easy to access switches so you can enjoy the pitch black too.)The seating areas on the deck of the yurt are comfortable and in perfect position for the best times of day to enjoy the view and the sunset & many stars. Highly recommend.

I would DEFINITELY recommend this off the grid getaway
Madison and her precious son greeted us and kicked off our stay with a tour and welcome at check in, and from there we had no questions about the amenities and equipment to make Elf’s Aerie a home away from home IN A TREE! It was serene and refreshing and lacked nothing for our comfort and enjoyment.
