First bad sign was that the door was swollen out of the frame so required a bit of shoving to open/close. Interior door lock/chain was removed as well, so that wasn't safe. Our room was also sadly blocked by the building next door which gave us a wonderful view of a sold brick wall. However, we did book the day before our trip so I understand these can be the only views available with last minute bookings. Our toilet had to be flushed twice for it to properly flush everything and the sink did not drain well but drained at a dripping rate, so we had to be wary of how much water went into the sink. Once we realised there was no mini bar or room service (our fault for not checking before booking) we ordered out own late night pizza with the expectation that we would get a late start the following day. No. We were woken by an unknown alarm that went off at 6:30 in the morning and wasn't shut off for at least 10 minutes, even after a PA announcement that the alarm wasnt an emergency. A morning shower showed us there was no soap in the dispenser, so we had to use what was left of the hand soap. Thankfully, the shower was hot and the pressure good. Later that evening we were contacted by the front desk asking if we required an ambulance. Made for an interesting conversation. We also had the cistern overflow in our toilet so it wouldn't stop constantly flushing and a tiny little big crawled out of one of the pillows. Never a dull moment!

The hotel was in a good location, however did not recurve an upgrade and the parking that you have to pay for is awful and dangerous, it’s so tight we had to ask for a different spot as we could not fit our Suzuki swift which was a hire car in the space allocated. Luckily they have us a different spot which was a tight squeeze.

No house keeping , mould in shower , no restaurant for luch and dinnee , both bar and restaurant closed due to lack of staff. Not a 4 star hotel as claimed
