Rough area

At 11p.m. the power too the hotel went out. A mob formed in the parking lot demanding a refund but was told no. People got really mad and many left. The rooms are run down, many homeless walking around outside, and breakfast was a gas station Danish and watered down coffee.

Pros: It was clean. It's near the freeway.
Cons: Offer an actual breakfast, and do it properly. Don't use PineSol, it's over powering. Make sure the security locks are functional. Get better towels.
Location: It's close to the freeway. Didn't sightsee.
The best that can be said is it is clean. Sheets smell of bleach, whole place smells of Pine Sol. Beds are hard, towels are skimpy and thin, fixtures are worn, but work. Area is scarey. The door had previously had at least 4 security locks, all of which appear to have been damaged violently based on the dents around the holes left from their screws. The one on the door was loose and useless. Individuals seen near the hotel included a man with a police monitor ankle bracelet and several unsavory looking sorts. The continental "breakfast" was pathetic and consisted of either dry packets of oatmeal (no water, hot or otherwise, to make it) and cheap packaged sweet rolls. Also offered was a jug of lukewarm OJ and a dispenser of lukewarm apple juice. The coffee was OK. No way would I stay here again. Women traveling alone would not feel safe here.

Pros: the cleaning staff
Cons: hiring more staff for such a busy weekend to cover any problems that may come up, they are aware of Spring Training and Super Car Show that is held
first of all when we booked our room we specifically requested a handicap room, but that didn't happen. When we entered our room there was no trash can, no racks or closet to hand our clothes, was told we would have a microwave being that my husband is a diabetic wasn't able to warm up any of his foods. On Saturday early evening the TV went out, called front desk to only be told that all units were having the same problem. So had no TV that night nor Sunday morning. Now if the whole building was having issues with a power problem it should have been the Hotel problem not our problem! and should have been resolved, we were very disappointed with our stay, and mind you we have always stayed at a American Best and travel to Az at least 4 times a year.

The only saving grace for this hotel was the clerk

Pros: The desk clerk was very polite, and professional
There was a mix up on our reservation on our arrival which the clerk proptly fixed but had to wait 30 min longer for room to be ready. On entering the room we found a piece of black electical tape covering hole obviously not completely on curtains. There were very obvious holes in both bedspreads, and not small. There was significant rust on bathroom tub drain with brown spots not only on sides of tub but also on interior of tub. TV had only 16 stations with 1/2 of them Spanish channels. While a lounge / bar noted in your ad, there is none at this facility. While the pool looked clean and inviting, we were told was not open. With Motel 6, Red Roof Inn in eyesight in parking lot I do not think the 84.00 we spent for the room was of any value. Since we came in later in the day, we did not ask to speak with manager until checkout in am. At 1030 when we checked out, was told the manager would not be in for another 2 hours. This is our first disappointment with an Expedia advertised facility in the many years we have used Expedia. The other factor was the hotel advertised on banner outside about rooms for 33.00 per night. That we were there on a Thursday and paid 84.00 for such a poorly appointed room seemed to just add to the frustration we felt. I have sent a separate E-mail with pictures attached from our room

Good Enough

Pros: The staff was nice and helpful.
Cons: Better TV. Only a few channels available and mostly local.
Location: Good location near freeway, airport and many entertainment venues.
Adequate for spending the night, basic amenities, good staff, nothing fancy.
