“This was easily one of the best stays we’ve ever had. Café Playa Negra is everything a boutique hotel should be—warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully run. We were greeted like family and offered lime slush drinks that were pure bliss. Our room was spotless and beautiful, the meals were delicious, and the pool was a perfect escape. Nixon was amazing—so kind and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly. This place has heart. And by staying here, you’re supporting the real people of Playa……

“A real gem of a place just a few minutes walk to the beach. Quiet, clean, and helpful staff. Pros: best Gluten-free menu and food of our 7 day trip. Chefs kiss!! The tuna and blackened fish were out of this world. Pool was warm and open all hours. Grounds were well kept. Tennis courts available. Cons: no TV in room, but really what are you doing inside anyway. ”

“The room was spacious for a family of 4 adults. There was a separate room for each bed, which was nice. The common area was great so we could leave our suitcase there. The hotel is right in the centre of the town, so it's very walkable to lots of dining options and the beach. At night, it was quiet around and safe. We rented a car so it was great that there was parking on premise. The staff were all very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel for groups!”

“The room and staff here were amazing. The breakfasts were amazing. My wife’s favorite was the chia pudding and I really like the French toast. Kids liked the pancakes and omelette. For how nice this place was we were surprised it wasn’t busier. Would definitely stay here again. Pool and swim up bar were nice. Walking distance to beach was fast.
