Canon City getaway
Just as expected and described on the website and in pics. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Nice and plentiful linens. Worked well for our family of four but upstairs isn’t accessible for people with mobility issues. Must take extreme care on the stairs. (More like climbing a ladder but the spindles railings make good hand holds.) Loved that all four of us (hubby and 19 and 22 y/o daughters) could watch an incoming thunderstorm from the great porch with our dog. Outdoor furniture is comfy. Our dog got a little territorial when we tried to approach the horses and made a bit of a nuisance of herself but the owners were tolerant of that. The dog run area on the side of the house next to the creek is large. Bigger well-behaved dogs would have stayed in there but ours gets nervous when separated so we kenneled her in the cabin so she’d feel more secure when we took our outings.

Amazing Experience
Me and my fiancé brought our dog with us and it was perfect for us. The space is amazing. Even though the cabin is in their back yard there is still so much privacy. Will definitely return!!

We loved the place from the moment we drove in! The cabin is in the back of a well-kept horse ranch - right beside a small gurgling creek. There are such pretty views of wide-open spaces and sky from the windows and the porch on the back. Susie came right up and welcomed us when we arrived and told us a bit about the ranch. She invited us to feed and pet the horses, which was something we had never done. My teenage boys loved it! The location was wonderful, very close to the main part of Canon City, yet peaceful, quiet, comfortable and homey. The stairs leading to the second floor are a bit unusual, but you just realize that you need to be careful and take your time.

Cute cabin with all the essentials. I loved the simplicity and location. Peaceful nights with sweet sound if the creek.
