My experience
The washing machine was broken. When I was trying to wash the clothes, I has a lot of water in the kitchen. The apartment was not cleaned every day. The beach was dirty. The dishes were old, and dirty. The owners of the apartment were really nice, and helpful during check in.

Super place to stay, private, safe, sensible lodge
This is a wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend it. The owners are resourceful, intelligent, discreet, and very service sensitive. I encountered several situations where the owners went out of their way to provide excellent service and great advice on shopping, tourism and currency transactions in the Bavaro Beach area. The room (apartment style -- but very spacious) was excellent. Kitchen amenities like the blender, toaster and stove were greatly appreciated. A lot of thought, artistic flair and common sense have gone in to make this Residencial Buganvilias place an outstanding home away from home that I intend to return to when the Dominican Republic calls us back...

Cozy Hotel
It's a very nice hotel with a good price; very clean, has everything that you need (it's not all inclusive) so you can bring your food and you can cook there. It's close to bars and very close to the beach (walking distance). I highly recommend this place.
