Springwater Villa is truly a unique property, and I feel extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit. Many thanks to our host Gabriel for helping to make our stay so special! I vacationed there with extended family in March 2019, there were 11 of us, and the large house was perfect for our group. The three kids had the bunk bed room, and the adults were all very comfortable on the main floor.
The pool, grounds, and beachfront are gorgeous, with hammocks and comfortable swinging beds to laze on. The turquoise colour of the water has to be seen to be believed.
Camp Bay is a quiet, secluded spot in the East of Roatan. If you are looking to get away from it all and have a truly relaxing holiday, then this unspoilt corner of the world is for you.
Some of our group went diving with Dive Pangea, a short walk down the beach. We had amazing dives with Chrissie and her team.
All of us (even the 4-year-olds!) took an unforgettable snorkelling excursion to Pigeon Cay, with our guides Olwin and Wilmar. It was like finding our own private island in the remote Carribean, with blue, blue water and abundant reef-life.
The rest of the time, we lounged around, hiked, kayaked, took a few excursions, and were extremely well-cared for by the staff members. We cannot thank Wendy, Becky, Aretha, Olwin and co. for making our stay so very comfortable.
I should also mention that our group included food allergies and extremely picky eaters, but Gabriel and Wendy were SO accommodating in putting together a gluten-free menu for us, always providing two options, and always being aware of our needs. The food was delicious too - I really miss having fresh warm tortilla with my meals! And Wendy's Key Lime Pie is divine!
If you want to get away from the all-inclusive resort thing, this is the perfect place for you. Cannot recommend this property enough! I'm just trying to think of ways to go back, soon!
