Overall good value
Overall, the Blue Pearl was a good value for the price. We enjoyed its location on a private, quite street and proximity to the beach. The cottage had most of the essentials that we desired to make our stay comfortable, including a fully equipped kitchen, private bedrooms for our family of four, a cozy living room space with entertainment equipment where we enjoyed hanging out, and on-site laundry. We also appreciated the cleanliness and decor of the cottage. One drawback was likely the result of heavy rains experienced by the area--from the point of our arrival, the property was under water for the entire week and we were forced to wade through dirty water to get to the cottage from the road and to access the laundry area underneath the cottage. The standing water also made the backyard, the outdoor shower area, and charcoal grill on the property unusable. There was also a small problem with tiny ants in the kitchen area that at first we were not aware of, but recognized when it resulted in our having to throw out some bread products that were compromised.
