Difficult to park , room.extremely small

Posted Nov 13, 2017
This place is very difficult to find since it's located on the street where only cable cars are allowed. Also I reserved as so called Deluxe King room but the room was very small you can barely walk around the King bed. I would not recommend. The only plus side is that it is right in downtown Union Square and is where the cable cars are so you can hop on it quickly.

The hotel is a dump. I wouldn’t stay here unless it was so cheap they paid you to stay here.

Centrally located in the downtown area, just a couple of blocks from Union Square. The room was clean, but small. Worked fine for our needs as we were sightseeing during the day and weren’t in the room much. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It was a great place to stay, only drawback was the fact the room didn't have AC and we had to keep the window open to cool it off.

So much noise I couldn't sleep

Posted Oct 23, 2017
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Sound proofing!
This hotel is in a convenient location, but with it's age comes a lot of downside. Now A/C made for a stuffy room even when it was only about 65 outside. In addition, the only elevator was broken the next morning which forced me to walk up and down 6 fights of stairs. I had a room on the street, and the noise all night was unbearable. I had to check out the second day and find new accommodations as I only got about 2 hours sleep (even with ear plugs in and a pillow over my head). The hotel staff was attentive and agreed to change my room the second night, however, when I returned in the evening, they had not relocated me as promised. I eventually changed hotels and again the staff was very understanding and accommodating.

Ok, price refects the area not the hotel

Posted Oct 22, 2017
Pros: It's Location
Cons: Sound Proofing and it's WIFI performance was very poor, plus bath was not usable both shallow and no plug.
Location: Next to the BART, and MUNI so you can get anywhere in a short time
Not the quitest area to stay in, due to its location be prepared to be woken in the early hours by the retail stores that surround the hotel having their deliveries, also during our stay the road suface was being replaced and this work was being carried out at night. The location however is about as good as you can get leaving you with great logistic capabilities to all areas of San Francisco

Super convenient location.

Posted Oct 14, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Noise control
Location: Shopping and tour bus stop is right around the corner. There is a 24hr Walgreens across the street.
Nice update. Small sink but tube is big enough. Noisy due to the window in the bathroom. I could hear people from two floors up when they talk in their bathroom.

Very small room but great location

Posted Oct 13, 2017
Pros: The location is great. Walking distance from many stores, restaurants and attractions.
Cons: The rooms should be redesigned in a way that makes more sense space-wise.
Including the additional resort fee, better off going to another hotel that charges a bit more but offers spacier rooms. We arrived later in the evening but had good check-in service. The room we had felt to me like a hole in the wall; the main area was barely bigger than its queen size bed! Forget laying out your personal items and luggage - there's absolutely no space for that. And the tiny walk-in closet had no light so I had to use my phone's flashlight. The bathroom was of a decent size though, which is quite strange. We only needed to stay one night; thank god! Also, as part of the resort fee, you are supposed to get filtered water and a refillable bottle in the room. The bottle was nowhere to be found. We called the front desk that evening to ask for one. And of course they were out of bottles somehow. It's only because we insisted to get one at check-out the next morning that we finally got it.. a bit too late. We left our luggages checked in with the concierge in the morning so that we could go explore the city all day before heading out of town. When we retrieved them in the evening, kid you not, my locked bag was unlocked. Interestingly though, as far as I can tell, nothing was missing. I travel quite a bit and have never had this happen to me before. I even started doubting whether I had indeed locked it. But I clearly remember checking the lock twice before leaving. So you may take it as a warning if you want.

Good location but poor noise proofing and beds

Posted Oct 2, 2017
The location is prime if you want union square. Beds are horrible, poor upkeep of the property, noisy and hot in the hotel.
