"Perfect hotel on the beach: chairs/umbrella/towels"
The descriptions made note that you had to cross a street to get to the beach and while this is kind of accurate, in reality, the street is a quiet back alley type of street. The hotel faces the beach. You can walk out with your sunblock in hand and the Beach Club will get everything else set up for you: towels, very comfortable chairs and umbrellas. That's the best part of this hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else if I wanted to enjoy the beach in San Juan. We chose the right place! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. After we checked out on our last day, we checked our luggage in with them and sat on the beach one more full day. It was lovely. The room is comfortable and quiet (probably best not to stay on the highest floors if you like the quiet, we stayed on the fifth floor and were fine). Only one issue, the room card keys continually lost their power and we had to get them reset multiple times.

Pocket Guide: Santurce San Juan Aimbridge Hospitality Hotels

San Juan is the capital of Puerto Rico, and its cultural hub. Half of the island’s population lives in the greater metropolitan area, and most visitors enter here as well. Old San Juan, with its cobblestone streets and old colonial architecture, lies on a small island connected to the mainland by bridges; it is guarded by 16th and 17th century forts, now World Heritage sites open to the public.
