Holiday highlightPosted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: The view, pool and friendly, helpful staff
Cons: Hotel fee should include the cost of the funicular to and from the town/beach.
Location: Spend a day at the beach, some time walking to the marina and try out the many eateries.
Great hotel with fantastic views, service & staff. Enjoyed ourselves immensely not only at the hotel but at the beach and San Sebastian eateries.

Great hotel. Food not goodPosted Jun 30, 2013
Pros: The view
Cons: The food
Location: Couldn't be better.
View amazing from rooms lobby and restaurant. Breathtaking view over San Sebastián Venicular to bottom of hill leads to bus stop which run every fifteen minutes to old town. Food at hotel is very very over priced you would do better to eat out if you can food will be better quality for price. Hotel is excellent. Staff are excellent. Food is let's be honest rubbish. But honestly hotel itself is absolutely superb and I would suggest you stay at this superb hotel but don't waste your money on the over priced food. I would definitely like to visit again Most of us thought the food was rubbish. Not many diners in restaurant. They spoke some English.

Pros: 180* view of Bay of Biscay and Concha Beach, San Sebastian
Cons: Distance from Old Twon
Location: Worth the going the distance
One of the most amazing views (very "James Bond") like on this planet.

Need a carPosted Oct 18, 2011
Beautiful setting, incredible views, but a headache without a car to get into the city. Hotel could use a makeover, but overall a very good experience.

Good Experience, not GreatPosted Aug 19, 2011
Hotel Staff were very friendly and courteous. Hotel seems a bit outdated though. A lot of things seemed to be dated about 20 years back. Things like plastic patio chairs on the balcony make you wonder why you're paying so much for the room. Great location for a view. Poor location for being near the beach or anything else in the city, even though the cable car going down to town is a great deal and pretty cheap. The small carnival-like atmosphere that surrounds the hotel took away from it with all of its rides and games, etc. Was confused when I got there of where I should go to check in because of so many people walking around. The pool was hard to find as well (entrance is between 3rd and 4th floor) but finally had to ask the staff for it. Nice pool though. All in all, was a nice, clean place but could be better.
