White Cellar Cave houses Oia Santorini by Cycladica

Blue and white, sea and sky
Converted from an old canava (wine cellar), this split-level property is an archetypal example of Santorini’s unique cave houses. Carved into the sheer cliff that spills into the volcanic caldera, these humble dwellings of smooth white plaster have no straight edges: vaulted ceilings, arched doorways, and alcoves create the sense of a calm cocoon. Naturally ventilated, the houses are wonderfully cool even in high summer.
Located on the sheltered, south-facing side of Oia, Santorini’s most picture-perfect village, White Cellar is accessible via a private entrance and relatively few stairs. Superb restaurants, clifftop cafes, and tempting shops are just steps from your front door, while a scenic footpath descends to the bay of Armeni. Right in the heart of the village, the house feels amazingly secluded. Three small terraces on different levels offer different perspectives on Santorini’s iconic landscape and architecture.

Perfect spot in Ois

House feels like it’s your second house in Santorini It’s both hidden and right there in the center of th town of Oia View is incredible

Gorgeous and special place. We loved this unique location with unbelievable views and close access to restaurants and shopping. The unit we rented included lots of stairs and uneven surfaces, so would be challenging for anyone with mobility issues, so be sure to let the hosts know.

Lovely place to stay

Within easy walking distance to the caste and blue domes, a very nice place to stay. Breakfast included (eggs, bread, OJ, Milk, Yogurt)A helpful porter was there to carry our bags through the streets and steps of Oia - much needed with kids and seniors.Joanna as the property manager was always available and gave us tips on places to see, hikes and restaurants.A great experience!

A private paradise right in the middle of Oia

I have nothing but positive things to say about my stay in the white cellar cave house! So much thought was put in to making experience as relaxing as possible by the host, from the easy check-in, with a porter to help with our bags, to a gorgeous continental breakfast bought right to our doorstep every morning. Location of the Cave house Is amazing, it’s right on the doorstep of the Main Street, But considering how central this is, It’s a surprisingly private, Quiet space. I will be recommending this accommodation to everyone!
