“I especially loved the balcony by the lake. What a tranquil view every morning and evening! My room was modern, clean and spacious. The refrigerator and microwave came in handy. I didn’t need the air conditioning, since the mornings and evenings were cool and I just opened the door to the lake. Parking was easy, right by my entrance; staff was helpful and polite. I plan on coming back !”

“My room was clean and easy to get to. The bed was good and the shower worked well. My only problem concerned the breakfast. I was fine with the yogurt, fruit, packaged pastries. However after I made my oatmeal, there was no milk. I didn't want to use the powdered creamer. When I asked at the desk, there was no milk available. I wish I had known before I made the oatmeal.”

“Within the first 10 minutes of being in the first room a cockroach crawled on the bed. There were rust marks all over and water damage on the ceiling. Crumbs were all over the floor and things previous guests had left remained on the floor. The room was clearly not cleaned. Thankfully they allowed us to switch rooms; however, this room had just as much water damage and the light was barely hanging onto the wall. Listing pictures need to be updated.”

“The facility looked to be well-maintained. Interaction with the staff was very professional and everyone acknowledged me even as I was walking by. I’m figuring that all the windows on my side of the building did not have room darkening curtains. I was in room #310. Darkened curtains would be nice. Need to add some different selections of food such as biscuits and sausage gravy. What was there was tasty.”

“The room was great and easy access. Its a short walk from the downtown district and has a full stocked kitchen and parking right outside the door. The drive to Portage beach is less then 10 minutes and there's a great old fashioned drive in Root Beer stand with great food nearby. The only issue was we seemed to run out of hot water when filling the tub ans needed to wait. Other then that. It was a great experience!”

“The web site stated that the pet fee was $50, but when we checked in the fee was stated as being $75. The pet area is mostly dirt and not well maintained. I do not think I would return to this hotel.”
