South Myrtle Beach Vacations from $567

Overall it was okay. It is not a resort. It’s more of a west gate recruiting hotel. They push very hard to try to get you to buy into west gate. The location is good. Breakfast is not included(not free) and it’s in a separate building. There are no towels at the pools. The pools look like they could use some cleaning.

Perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Clean facilities and friendly staff.

Perfect resort

Our planned two-night stay did not happen. The first room we were checked into (Room 130) which smelled musty and had a squeeky, unbalanced ceiling fan. But, far worse, the indoor AC wall unit, mounted up on the wall, leaked rusty water out of its vents. Unfortunately, we didn't discover this at first, and we had put luggage on the rack under the unit. Within 20 minutes, we had soaking wet, rust-stained clothes. We moved out of that room, told that the manager on duty would handle the situation the next day (Friday). We moved ourselves to Room 229 which appeared to have been refurbished compared to a very much in need of refurbishment Room 130. However, the bed was HORRIBLE -- there was no boxspring, the mattress was positioned on top of boards. We returned to the front desk to cancel our stay and go elsewhere. There wasn't much concern expressed by the staff and we have not been contacted by the hotel about our damaged clothes and disastrous attempt to stay there.
