The jacuzzi was broken and the pool was dirty. Other than that everything else was great. The hotel staff during breakfast were very nice and helpful. The staff at the front desk were very friendly.

Worn down facilities

Posted Mar 13, 2018
My room was nice and clean, but the common spaces were not well maintained (leaves in the entrance, food on the floor in the hall, cracked tiles in the elevator, exercise machines broken, hot tub out of order).

needs maintenance

Posted Jan 22, 2018
anyone considering this place should read the prior reviews. Its mid-January 2018 and 2 of the 3 elevators are still not working. During our stay, the pool and hot tub were closed with no sign of repairs being done. Its also hard to find, especially at nite. But it is conveniently located next to the freeway. I'd go back if the elevators and pool area were back in order.

First terrible experience with Embassy Suites

Posted Dec 29, 2017
Pros: room size
Cons: think more about guest. Unfortunately nobody think about the guests I believe owner thinks cost only I believe employees think about themselves only
The day I stayed this hotel with my family including 6 & 4 years girls was very cold date. It's under -10F windy date. One employee's car has been parked just in front of the entrance over 20 min and that's the reason I couldn't start offloading my luggage. When I off-load the luggage and put on the trolley cart, off-cause nobody helped and everybody were just watching and waiting inside. It's really cold and I couldn't touch steel pole of the trolley cart. When I opened the pulling door, they refused to use that door and gestured to use revolving door... When I went into the lobby, my kids were shaking and said it's cold even inside.. So the front lobby was really cold and only front clerk has small heater. Our body became cold and we expected to took a bus or hot shower when we arrived our room. But unfortunately the shower was also not warm enough and we decided kids shouldn't take a shower that day. Good thing was that room was very warm and comfortable. Kids were expected to play at the hotel pool but pool was also very cold and jacuzzi was same cold. Next morning breakfast room was also chili and employee wore down jacket.. My family surprised that cold restaurant and kids were almost crying. We picked up some fruits and went back to the room. We love to stay embassy Suites but I believe we will never stay this location again.

Sofa bed is worthless, bathroom walls are dirty.

Posted Nov 29, 2017 on Hotels
It was typical. I stay there because of the large amount of space and the inredible breakfast (omlettes). This time my 16 year old granddaughter came and had the sofa bed. She always complains that they don’t change the sofa bed bottom sheet so I opened the sofa bed to inspect it and there was a container top in the center proving she was right - they just through a clean top sheet under the cushions and don’t bother with the bottom. It also sagged badly so she ended up sleeping on the sofa ( with clean sheets from the front desk). She is longer than the sofa. Also, as usual, the shower walls were filthy - especially the grout. This time I decided to touch a dark golden spot on the tile and it was gooey— yuck!!! The price is good but I am going to have to pay more and go to townplace suites from now on. My mom lives in southfield, MI so the Embassy Suites is convenient but My family deserves better (cleaner). The hot tub is cold so my husband and I don’t use it any more either.
