Old, run down, motel like, but close to fairgroundPosted Aug 18, 2015
It's an old run down motel like place. The pool is awful, the rooms terrible and the pics online are of the updates to hide the outside entrances and balconies to the rooms. It's all a faćad. My 14 yr son was afraid he was going to get bedbugs. Thankful it was 1 night. We won't be back to the Ho-Jo!

I guess for whatever reason the door to my room had been kicked in at least twice. It was obvious that the door latch had been reinstalled at least two time. The previous screw holes there and the latch would not catch. Upon throwing a bag in the garbage I discovered not one but two used condom wrappers in the can. The sheets on the bed had holes in them. I thought a hotel across the street from Abe Lincoln's tomb would have been a lot better than that.

Convenient location, great pricePosted Aug 3, 2015
I'm often cautious of low priced rooms, but was willing to take the risk on this one. (I grew up in this part of town.) I knew that the airport was near, but noise was not a problem. Also knew that the trains were far enough away to not wake us in the night. Breakfast was basic, but the rooms have microwave and refrigerator. I would stay here again.

extremely adequate and worth the pricePosted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: It was clean, quiet with a nice TV.
Cons: Better internet connection.
Location: It was a couple miles away from restaurants and shops, so it was quiet, which is what we wanted.
Out of town funeral and not a lot of disposable income this month. Did not expect much after I booked the cheapest choice on page 1 of my search. Actually it was okay. I would stay there again. The beds were comfortable and I slept through the night. The free breakfast filled us up. They actually had half-and-half for my coffee instead of that artificial stuff. Fresh fruit, too. Staff was friendly. For the price, it was great.

Hôtel correctPosted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: Chambre sympa, piscine
Cons: Voir rubrique "décrivez votre expérience"
La porte de la chambre ne se fermait pas, ce qui fait que n'importe qui pouvait rentrer...

Pros: Very pleasant, quiet and nice breakfast facility.
Location: It is really out of the main stream in Springfield. I wasn't pursuing something to do in the area so I am not sure about that.
I had a destination in mind for a meeting in Springfield. I checked the internet for a hotel closest to my destination and reasonably priced. Howard Johnson's appeared to fit the bill. It is out in the middle of nowhere however, it was easy for me to find...It was great for my need, reasonably priced and clean. The breakfast room was one of the most pleasant and cheerful that I have been in. Personnel was very friendly for both checking in and out

BummerPosted Jul 22, 2015
Not a good experience. Had to wait for about 10 minutes before anyone came to the front desk. The first room we had was dirty. The staff apologized and got us another room. It was a little cleaner. Very run down and kind of creepy. Nice pool.

Nice exterior, poor interior.Posted Jul 20, 2015
The hotel seemed nice at first, the staff was very kind. Once we got into our room it smelled very musty. After looking around we noticed many things in need of repair. After waking up from a very hard bed my feet hit the floor to find the carpet wet. This must be were the smell came from. All in all this is probably a 30$ hotel room not a 70$ room.

Cheap one night hotel.Posted Jul 20, 2015
Cons: Doors could be exchanged with better ones.
Location: Near downtown, a $7 cab fee is all we had.
I booked this hotel for a one night stay as I was in town for a friends birthday celebration. I knew from the price that it was not going to be fabulous. But overall it was OK. Cheap door on our room was a little unsettling, but it did the job. When we first arrived our room keys wouldn't work so I called the front desk and they sent someone to let us in. She let us in then said I will be right back with new ones, well we waited for about 20 minutes back had to leave as our cab was there. I called the front desk and they said it was fine to just pick them up when we returned. Overall my experience was OK just that.
