A lovely, quiet tucked away motel in a beautiful town. The room is comfortable and clean, there are only 8 rooms which is nice. Perfect for couples or families. We had a wonderful time at the very clean beach and enjoyed a stroll in the center of town on 96th Street. I was able to rent a beach chair provided by the hotel and a parking spot for each room is provided. So peaceful at night and really felt relaxed after the trip. Definitely will go back. The Hotel was Awesome. What made our experience while staying there was the staff. The staff at the hotel provided the BEST customer service hands down. Super friendly and helpful. When we visit New Jersey again it will be our number one choice. Want to Thank Taylor,Jessie and the rest of the crew for their warm hospitality. Aloha

The place is very clean, quiet, the staff are very attentive and helpful. I recommend it 100 percent to relax as a family or as a couple, we will return if God allows it.

I love this hotel it is nice and clean. I have nothing negative to say. The employees are respectful and kind. My room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. We will be back again hopefully in September before the summer ends.

Beautiful b&b decorated like in the fifties each room had a team. We loved the game room and the diner's kitchen. Everything is authentic 50's

I thought the style was neat, the hardwood color was awesome. It was a comfy bed and pillows. Also beautiful bathroom.

Have stayed here several times and never disappointed. A nice comfortable place to stay. The rooms do fill up quickly so always recommend reserving early.

I feel like we really lucked out with this stay. Planned only 2 weeks prior, we booked accommodations last minute and took a chance on Avondale. It was perfect! Right on Beach Ave. in Cape May, we had view of the ocean from our balcony area. Upon booking, I received a call within 30 minutes from Avondale to confirm our stay and to ask us if we were OK with with walking up the stairs to 2nd or 3rd floor as there is no elevator. Not a problem for us and the 2nd floor facing the beach was perfect....

This is the second time we have stayed, we love the place, everything is close to the hotel.

Everything was excellent! The only concern was that there was often too much noise in the hallways at night and that should’ve been controlled by staff.

I loved this place, everything is really good, the view is incredible. One blond hair woman from reception and the activities guy who gives chairs and umbrellas on the beach they were really nice with us. The only person who was no good with me was woman (Black woman and short curly hair) I called before I make the reservation because I have my Service Dog for my Epilepsy, the person who answered the phone said I could bring my dog there; and that girl into the reception my last day there was so...

I've always thought it is important to recognize kindness when it has been extended - especially in today's crazy busy world. The only complaint I had was the pictures of the rooms are all the same. Would still book the room again but having real representation of the room would have been great

Beautiful property and pool especially

The Star is operated by the same group that owns and operates Congress Hall (which is right across the street). The Star is tastefully renovated and immaculate. The proximity to the ocean, washington street mall, eateries, entertainment and downtown cape may is perfect. As a guest of The Star you have access to the amenities of Congress Hall (sweet bonus, the spa is delightful!). The queen rooms at The Star are quite small, but well appointed. I'd highly recommend this property for a weekend...

My wife and I recently stayed at the Bedford Inn and we were more than impressed. Immediately upon arriving we were greeted by the owner, "Archie" and he spent close to a half an hour giving us a tour of the property and explaining the policies and ammenities. After which he stayed to answer all of our questions regarding the surrounding area, being it was our first overnight stay in Cape May.
