The proprietor, Roberto, is awesome. He takes serious pride in his properties. The rooms are outstanding, brand new. There are studio type kitchens with a burner, microwave, refer, coffee setup, and dishes. We rented a scooter from Roberto and went to one of the magasins (stores) on the island for cream, deli meats, cheese, and fruit juice. That was our brekfast. The dinner (laid back local atmosphere) was outstanding. Like all rooms on Tahaa, the guest needs to prearrange transport from Raiatea, and in this case, Roberto. Try to arrange this part of your transport during weekdays. The weekends are pricey. When you arrive, the taxi man will chase down Roberto to get you your room(everyone knows everyone on his island). There are six bungalows rented out. The entire island is quiet and this locale shares the quiet and solitude. While located on the circle road of the island, I think we counted 8 cars over 24 hrs. We felt like we had a more genuine local experience staying at the Tahaa village. And yes, that will be our 'go to' home away from home for our next visit to Tahaa. Thank you to Roberto and his beautiful wife Lily.
