Room Was Cheap - But I Paid Too Much!

In dire need of maintenance! Lobby restroom, no paper towels. I believe I saw a picture of my room in someone else's review. They used carpet as base board and it was peeling off the wall. The lights in the room use a motion detector. Nice on one hand but not on the other. Lights came on in the middle of the night for no particular reason. The TV wasn't in good working order. No picture. I fixed it. Not sure when the room had a good vacuuming. The shower rod in the bathroom not properly installed. It was a curved rod but it drooped and the curtain wouldn't stay closed. Not sure what they used to clean the tub, but it had a gritty feeling and was slick. Had to hang on to the safety bar in the shower, just in case. The room had a small fridge & freezer and microwave, but no ice. Went to find the ice machine. It was really broken. Had to go the front desk to get ice. Towels were acceptable.
The basic structure of the motel was good. If management would be willing to invest some money into real repair and upkeep by professionals, it could become a viable business. Otherwise, it can't survive too much longer, no matter how little you charge unless you start charging by the hour, if you catch my drift!
